Q: Hi 5i Team,
I would like to take some money out of a savings account and have it accumulate dividends in my TFSA over a 5 year time period (I will need it at that time). I was wondering in the income portfolio, which of the ETFs/stocks would be the least volatile or the smallest of price movement that pays a good dividend over this amount of time?
Q: Hey guys, thanks in advance! I'm wondering how I should allocate stocks across my TFSA and 2 different RESPs. I've been sticking to the balanced portfolio and I'm wondering if 12 stocks in my TFSA and 4 in each RESP is a good idea, or if the RESP's should be more diversified. Any advice would be great. There are 20 stocks total, all equal weight. Thanks.
Q: Good morning.
My questions in pertaining these 2 high risk and volatile stocks that I currently hold: Photon Control--pho (4% position) and Synergy Pharmaceutical--sgyp (7% position). Both have come down and I was wondering if you would add to each. I have somewhat of high risk, high potential reward tolerance and 1 to 2 yr wait and see timeline. Thx
Q: Just a quick question on Sylogist. With a good amount of cash, no debt and a nice dividend, at what point - or more appropriately, at what price does one load up on shares? Even if they have a flat year or modest growth as they 'change', they seem very well positioned afterwards.
Q: My percentage market allocation presently in Altus, Kinaxis, and Open Text are 4.41%, 7.38%, and 3.85% respectively. Perhaps I'm top heavy in Tech stocks, though I plan to boost OTEX to a full position down the road. Would it make sense to sell AIF and replace it with either GUD or CRH since I hold no medical stocks at this time? You have helped my analytical skills tremendously, though I'm not good as digesting financial statements.
Q: I would like to make a substantial new investment based on your balanced portfolio with funds transferred recently into my LIRA account from another institution. Instead of buying everything now would you be able to group them into "acquire now" and "can wait" or similar buckets? You can also suggest new names.
Thank you for your most valuable service that I just renewed. Peter
