Q: A couple comments and a question with regards to FLTR/PDYPF
- I deal with TD Watwerhouse and when the shares had still not settled in my account I questioned it and just received the following response -" Thank you for your inquiry, kindly note that the event between Stars group and Flutter is currently still under processing, we have received the certificates from the overseas Transfer Agents and have begun the physical settlement process to clear the certificates with our UK custodian (typically up to 6 weeks). The Safekeeping will be place on the security until clearing has been completed." THIS IS A LOOOOONG process
- they told me that if I keep the shares in my CND account they are held as FLTR and trade on the LSE in GBP. When I sell the shares I do so with their international desk an would pay $250+ for the trade and it would go through 2 currency conversions - GBP to US $ to CND $
- if I move the shares over to my US side the shares are converted to PDPYF, costs $9.99/trade and everything remains in US$, no currency conversion fees. Caution when selling however, volume is low so always set a price, never a market order
- I never received compensation for the fractional share.....I am assuming this will happen when the shares finally settle but wondered if any has seen the fractional shares settle in their account???
- they told me that the sale of TSGI to FLTR was a taxable event and the new BV of the FLTR will be the value of the stock at the time of the closing. Is that correct??? I did not realize it was a taxable event.
Thanks for any clarification

Q: Hi,
I am wondering what your thoughts are on ETFs that focus on China. As it reopens, do you see any benefit to owning either an ETF, or possibly specific shares, that are expected to grow coming out of Covid? CNXT is another ETF I've looked at, but it is not in your database. My portfolio is about 60% in Canada, the balance in US and I have been focusing on adding more US exposure, mainly in the tech and health care sectors. I also find it interesting that the auto industry in China gained as Covid restrictions eased and am seeing a bit of follow through in the US auto industry, possibly driven by TSLA - but I am not sure why that would be, as I would think it is the last thing anyone would be buying now. If adding more international exposure, what would be a good target percentage and does this make sense at this point in time? Please deduct points as you see fit.
Thanks - your suggestions are always welcome!

Q: Hello -
Do you have a recommended Emerging Markets ETF that is ex-China, or alternatively, has reduced exposure to China?
I would be interested in this type of ETF in a USD account and also a similar version in my CAD account if it exists.

Q: This stock is setting all-time records and Matt McCall (stock advisor) claims that he advised people to buy this when it was basically a penny stock back in the spring. I know and trust you people. What is your opinion. Would it not be a bit late to get in now? Is it like Vector Vest when they boast about winning stocks saying they advised people to buy ages before they became winners? May I please have your opinion on Prosy which was also mentioned. One gold stock you like is Walbridge. It seems to have over the last month or so not been keeping up with the majority of the gold stocks. I know what you say will be correct. Thanks again for your trustful service. Dennis

Q: After watching Tesla from the sidelines (sadly) for too long, I would like to start an investment in the EV "sector". I am thinking about a basket approach and would appreciate your opinion on a few that I know of and any others that you may suggest.
Workhorse, WKHS; Arcimoto, FUV (does not pop up on your site), Nio inc, NIO; Nikola Motors, NKLA; Kandi Technologies, KNDI; and of course, Tesla, TSLA. I realize that some if not all of these may be speculative and require a long time frame but I do believe that there is an EV revolution coming and I would like to be part of it as both an investor and a consumer. Do any of them have serious red flags?
Is there a very specific ETF that might be an easier way to go? Any thoughts on whether Rivian might go public any time soon? Should GM be on the list perhaps?
As always, thanks so much for your valued opinions regarding this and everyone else's enquiries!

Q: I know U.S listed Chinese companies are likely not your primary focus but I'm very interested in some of the tech based companies China is producing (KC.US specifically). I understand there are political risks but do you see 3-5 companies that you find VERY interesting as a mid-term hold? Or is this a space too filled with risk to bother?
Q: Hi, In my opinion, right now it's a good time to enter the UK and France markets. I've looked at a few mutual funds, however none target these markets aggressive enough for my liking. I'm now considering purchasing a few blue chip companies that operate out of these countries. From my understanding, in order to do this, I must purchase them through the OTC. Is that correct, and if so, do you consider this an acceptable strategy? Thanks.
Q: Can you add this stock to your database? What do you think of it as a way to play the gaming space?
TIA!

Q: I would appreciate your thoughts on FLTR on the London exchange. Time to sell? hold? What will be the tax implications of selling from an unregistered account? Thankful for any and all insight. ram
