Q: With oil down, what would be your top picks for a rebound when oil picks up, without being too leveraged? I was thinking of Cardinal, with its nice yield (do you think it will need to be cut?) I already have some Spartan, but it seems to be a well run company. Other choices that are on sale? Thanks.

Q: I attempted to ask about this stock yesterday but it appears to have not been received.This stock has been sitting between 7-8 dollars for a few years now. It appears to have a +20 ROE and no debt. Can you think of any reason for it's inability to appreciate?

Q: I am looking to start a position in either one(leaning towards dol) I know they are probably expensive for retailers however, they seem to deliver on results on a consistent basis. What do you think about a half position on either one?

Q: Apologies... following up on Marty's question early today... I too have been holding CXI for some time and am not sure you answered his question when he asked should he continue to hold CXI;

"Is there evidence that their efforts are now finally gaining traction and would you recommend that I continue to hold?"


Or was it implied because you like BYD.UN to sell CXI and buy Boyd?

Q: Hello,

Can you suggest an etf or stock suggestion to capture the global increase in defence and security spending. Also Trump is pushing hard on G7 countries to increase defence budgets. A lot of money could be flowing towards that sector. Also are these increases already priced in? Thanks. Shyam

Q: I'm looking for international exposure with more weighting on consumer staples rather than financials, since we have a lot here in Canada already. The best I can find is "ZLI" from BMO. When I look at the holdings, I recognize very little, and am concerned about the quality of those companies. Sure, an ETF is transparent, but if I have no way to "measure" the quality of the holdings, is this transparency useful? Can you help me out with this? Thank you.

Q: Hello
A learning question. When a company does not have analyst coverage but the share price continues to go up who is buying the shares retail investors or smaller investment firms? Reason for the question is yesterday when Peter was on Market Call he mentioned Boyd has done well even though there are no analyst covering it but it is up over several hundred percent.

Q: Hi Guys! I like and respect Eric Nuttall very much which is why i bought his SPR 006 Fund about 6 months ago. I'm down abut 30%. I've seen him on BNN many times bragging about his fund appreciating by about 60+ % last year. BUT when I look at his Fund Fact sheet, it show NEGATIVE Returns for all Previous Years. What am I missing?
