Q: Hello 5i
Since last earnings and most recent Q&A in 5i (Nov 7) this share price has been falling.

Is the price action related to the previous earnings miss or earnings growth expectations changing due to business or Tariff concerns?

With a 5 year view on this name, does one just continue to hold through the downside volatility with anticipation for better future earnings and share price?

Thank

Q: I have a small position in Element Solutions and am thinking of adding to it but can't find any previous questions. I'm also thinking of adding to Amphenol and starting a new position Roblox, Meta and Costco.. This would be in the growth portion of my portfolio. Or I could add to Vertiv and Axon. I have about 70k USD to deploy.

Thanks

Q: Peter, is there a list of TSX listed companies that get a majority of their earnings from US operations ? With US protectionism and aggression likely to increase is it a sound strategy to focus on these companies with the $Cdn portion of a equity retirement portfolio ? Thank you.

Q: A good portion of my smaller cap portfolio weighting is in these 4 stocks. They seem reasonably diverse sector wise but the first three have been trending down for 3 months or more, and EIF seems to be now following suit. From a lot of recent commentary I was thinking small and mid-cap names might have a bit of a tail wind, at least on a valuation basis. I know I shouldn’t focus on 3-6 months but still a bit “vexing” watching them slide. I’ve read the recent q&a on all of them, don’t see any alarming comments really, any new concerns I’m missing?

Q: I have some fund from RRIF that I would like put into a TFSA and was just reading the latest issue of your ETF & Mutual Fund Update report. I am thinking of the above three ETFs and one stock. What are your thoughts. As a perspective, I would include some i2i fund if it was allowed in a TFSA.

Q: Could you please comment on the quarter - markets have reacted very positively. Given that strong jobs data should bolster consumer spending could you comment future prospects for Aritzia. I have a half position and am considering adding for my TFSA. It’s my only consumer position and am looking for growth with a multi-year horizon.
Thanks!

Q: BNS has been trending down since the new year and more so recently since their announcement of divestitures of more Latin American holdings to Colombian bank Davivienda for a 20 percent equity position in the bank. They are also booking impairments of 1.7 billion on this deal. All that being said, would you consider this recent drop a buying opportunity? Also, BNS did not raise its dividend in 2024. Do you see the bank raising its dividend in 2025 and going forward on regular basis like all other Canadian banks. Thanks.

Q: Would you please rank the 3 stocks in order of total return going forward. IFC has the best 10year return, but not so more recently. I currently own IFC and I am concerned about the effects of global warming on future performance. I am leaning toward MFC because of its recovered mojo. I sense that MFC is the most conservative play in the group. Thank you

Q: Follow-up to my question about CIB238 and PSA. Thanks for the explanation. You indicated that CIB238 pays a yield of 4.8% while PSA pays 3.4%. Are these current comparable yields? CIB238 seems high. Could the CIB238 be the yield over the past year while PSA is the current yield? If it was your $100k, which would you invest in to park money?
