Q: I currently hold TD Bank series 12 preferred shares (TD.PF.G) and they are coming up to a five year anniversary upon which they can be voluntarily converted to series 13 preferreds. The series 12 have an initial 5.5% payout and their first reset is another 5 years down the road at the 5 year Government of Canada rate + 4.66%. The series 13 preferreds have a floating quarterly rate of the 90 day T-Bill + 4.66%. With interest rates likely to rise would you recommend exercising the conversion privilege? Also, would you happen to know the trading symbol for the series 13 preferreds?

Q: Hi guys!
DOC has been taking it on the chin over the last month or two. Is there anything going on here? Would this be an opportunity to average down? Would you initiate a new position at this time?
Thanks as always
Dave

Q: Your thoughts on buying cia under $5.00, and why does the stock fluctuate so much? Is it time to invest in blx at these levels?
Q: Hello Peter,
What is your view on the earnings for both MP materials and neo performance in the rare earth space? Also, why did MP materials take such a big hit today (more than 15 percent). Is it a good time to add to MP as this might be short lived? Thanks very much.

Q: Hello 5i
It appears to me the big drop in the price of MP Materials today is related to some inside selling at a price of $35.00. Do you see this as a good time to initiate a position?
Also do you prefer NEO or MP?
Thank you so much!

Q: Hi,
Maybe not the forum, where I need to ask about this.
Salaries/income has stayed flat over the past couple of years....the real estate prices have increased SUBSTANTIALY.
How long can this party last? The disconnect between income and house prices is just growing and growing.....infinitum .
Here is my Question.
How long can the near zero rates continue ? If this monetary policy is making the real estate sector and the stock market boom, then should the Govt not continue this zero interest rate policy FOR EVER ? I am not good at finance/economics, could you please explain, why would any Govt. ever increase rates, if low rates generate growth ?

Q: In the Ottawa area I am hearing radio commercial from Square promoting their services to local stores. The services Square is selling seem similar to what Shopify’s has to offer. Is Square now offering the same services that Shopify offers. Thanks … Cal
Q: What are your thoughts on this income fund, I’ve held it for over a year and see its the price has been climbing this year, up from a price in the low $10.00 range last year.
It provides a very healthy yield (+10%) and was a Gordon Pape suggestion over a year ago at this price level. Is it a good steady fund to own for income in one’s RRSP?
Thnx

Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter,
Would you put new money into this ETF ARKK following the recent sell-off? This ETF has >22% in three companies ; TSLA, SQ and ROKU all of which are quite volatile names so this ETF could go either way depending on the market, right? Looking for growth, medium to high risk, 5-10 years hold.
Thanks in advance.

Q: CIA and RS have both been on my watch list. CIA has hit the price at which I was prepared to buy, but with such a drop in price over the last short while, I am just checking with you to see if there's something I've missed before I pull the trigger ?
Also, would RS, which hasn't come off like CIA, be a significantly preferred choice or some of both ? Any thoughts on entry price for RS ?
Thank you, as always.
