Q: I currently have a lump sum to invest at this time. I already have all the stocks in your Balanced Equity Portfolio and would like to slowly invest the lump sum (i.e. 10% per month). This is for a long term hold (> 5yrs). Which three stocks of the BE portfolio would you add to at this time and a brief reason why?

Q: 5% of my RSP is allocated to a risky/riskier /max growth theme with FB, J, KRBN and NVDA right now. I am looking for 1 or 2 more additions. APPS, U, and CRWD are on my list of considerations. In theory, I could wait 5-10+ yrs for max growth, but knowing my personality, 3-4 yrs is more in line with my expectations. Pls suggest some recommendations (does not have to be from my list) - Thank you.

Q: Hi,

I have a line of credit that I borrowed for investing. But prior to that I used it once for personal use. After the funds borrowed were paid, a month later I used it all for investing in a non registered acct.

My question is, can I claim a tax deduction on the interest expense on that money borrowed.I read articles that you can only deduct only if the account was only used for investment purposes.

I know you are not tax experts but your valued opinion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
