Q: Hi Peter QS and GLW announced yesterday an agreement for the development and commercialization of ceramic separators presumably for QSs batteries. There were no details. I think this is another positive step for QS and also for GLW too. No financial details were provided in the press release. Does Bloomberg have any information on the joint venture? Any change in QSs short interest? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Incidentally Jim Cramer appears to be quite bullish on GLW generally. I suppose if your company might just be making parts for an improved EV automotive battery that would be a positive. Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door!
Thanks,
Jim
Q: Good afternoon 5l
Nvidia seems to be pivoting to AI factories, as they call them. Could you provide a few names of companies which will likely profit from this turn? Perhaps also with a brief description of why you find them interesting.
Thanks
Q: Corning has been introducing new fiber products to interact with AI in products on computers. There sales are ahead and look good. 5i is this a steady company with growth and dividends. I want to add some Us stocks in my account. What are your views.Take as many credits as required .
I recently trimmed my position in NVDA and I would like to add the proceeds to my dividend income.
I currently owe BAC, BX, DFS, DUK, HAS, GLW, KMI, NVT, PAC, SWKS, VZ, WMB AND ABBV for dividend and some growth. I would like to add one or more US company to this list.
Any suggestions to add to this list? And, what company would you replace in this list if you have any concerns?
Oh, I'm not a big fan of tobacco companies.
Thank you for the great service and I really appreciate your insights.
Q: I have owned Corning for about 15 years. While I am generally pleased with the company and the stock performance, the shares have had a bad few months and a very bad day today. Do you know what accounts for today's drop and how do you view the shares for a long-term hold from here? Thank you!
What are your thoughts on both Corning and retractable technologies?
The thought would be to invest in companies that have to deliver the vaccine. Would you consider these a buy and if so, what would be your target price for each.
Q: you recently answered a question on Galway gold and stated that it has a nice dividend, I have searched several websites and can find no evidence that they pay a dividend, can you enlighten?
George
Q: I would appreciate your thoughts about IDHD - Invesco S and P International developed High Dividend Low Volatility ETF. Thinking of selling and replacing with Corning or what?
Also your thoughts on PBH?
with thanks,
Connie
Q: I have a small gain in Corning and have no need to sell at this time. You were not very enthusiastic about the company last August and I wonder if you feel otherwise about its prospects in the next few years. It seems to me that they sell products in both tech and consumer areas which may do well going forward.
Thank you, I really appreciate 5i Research advice.
Q: I hope you would consider telling the members your views on some 5G Enablers. Nokia, Ericsson, Cisco, Qualcomm might be large cap considerations. Little outfits like Inseego ( INSG) are helping Verizon rollout 5G. There must be some potential winners. Thx Frank
