Q: Following your balanced equity portfolio. I have read some questions you answered recently. Besides SIS, Premium Brands and KXS which other 2 or 3 equities do you expect higher returns in the next couple years. Thank you as always for your advice. Steve

Q: With reference to Antoine's question.
I am a real estate developer and can assure you that Altus is primarily a real estate services company. I have used them for many years and know them well.
I will leave it to 5i to analyze the stock but I might add also that the company, in Canada at least, is well run and well regarded. As a developer there are many studies required to get gov't approvals and Altus is a go-to name for many big players. Their fortunes will surely rise and fall with the real estate market (specifically develoment) generally.

Q: Hello 5i team. My question is in regards to taxation. I have an investment account at a CDN discount brokerage in US dollars. If I was to buy a cdn company say TD bank that trades on the US market and buy it in US dollars how would the dividends be treated? Would the dividends be paid in US dollars or paid in CDN dollars then converted back to US dollars? If they are paid in US dollars then are they subject to the 10-15% US withholding tax? I am trying to find investments that I can buy with US dollars but not be subject to the US withholding tax. Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, I have the above real estate plays (~2.5% each) in my RRSP along with a good mix of other 5i non-real estate income and growth picks (~62.5%) plus ~30% cash at present. Is this a reasonable mix (TCN, HOT, SRT) ? Thank you.
