Q: About ALA, FTN, PIC-A, how safe are those dividends ? For income would you buy any ? If so in which order. If none are buyable which other high dividends payers would you recommend ?
Already own over 20 dividend payers but mostly are under 5% except BYP, KWH, BEP, NWH.

Q: Good afternoon 5i team
My wife and I are retirees and conservative investors. On the recent decline, I initiated a 1% position (in total) in the captioned gold stocks; it added diversification to our portfolio. Given that gold securities could suffer in a general market decline, I'm wondering if I should continue to add towards a 5% position now, or wait for further possible declines to increase our position. Q: Re:your answer to Johns question of august 27th. 10 pick of best company's to best weather a correction. Would you consider a portfolio of 30% pmif and 70% these 10 picks at 5% each to be a decent portfolio no matter an iminent significant correction is at hand or not or would you tweek it in some way. Q: I wish to allocate up to 10% into this new sector - if I understand it correctly. Currently I own TELUS [about 3%/10% target], and at 1% - TD Entertainment & Communications [allowing that 51% will move to technology], SPOT, IQ, NVDA.
I wish to add eSports and streaming stocks to this sector - TTWO, ATVI, TCEHY?? and NVDA.
Pls advise how to build this sector with growth in mind.

Q: In a well balanced portfolio that is similar to the 5iR Balanced Portfolio, both BYD.un and PKI have increased in portfolio weighting from the initial investment positions. I recall 5iR saying to keep SIS less than 4.5%. For BYD.un and PKI, what would you suggest be the upper limit for the portfolio weighting of each of these two position?.......and thanks for these position recommendations.....Tom

Q: Sector target 10%; sub-sectors - Transport 40%, Industrial Goods & services 50%; Aerospace & Defense 10% for GARP in genreral. Pls advise on overall allocations. Should we extend to 12-15%? Willing to accept market risk at this stage.
Transport - own CNR, DSG; W/List - could add CSX, XPO, TFII, others? - your advice.
Industrial Goods& Services - own BBU, BAD, KEYS [initial position]; W/List: could add WSP, SIS, others?? - your advice
Aero & Defense: own BA - suggest sell & buy XAR or ITA - your advice pls.
Infrastructure stocks - any pure plays that I am missing or covered in above?

Q: 5I bought it at $49. Here's my chance to get it cheaper for $42. Down 22% in a matter of a week or so. I knew I wasn't buying a blue chip stock but I didn't think I was speculating either. Setting aside the issue of " Comfort Level ". I had no problem taking a 5% position in ENB when it was volatile because it was a blue chip stock....What level of investment product did I buy ? Why should I stick with it ? I have a 2.2% position in TSGI. If it is a good company should I increase that to 4% or just weather the storm ? Are there better opportunities elsewhere ?

Q: What is the difference between these two ETFS? I own XEC but noticed that VEE has a much higher dividend. Would it be worth swapping as I do like getting income while I wait for growth.

Q: While calculating ROE with cash earnings (amortization of intangibles added back), do you make the corresponding adjustment to retained earnings & thereby to shareholders equity? If so please provide the rationale behind this.
