I am looking to add both of these "out of favor" stocks in my non-registered account, weighing whether these are current value plays that are candidates for growth over the long term. I have been following their general trend for several weeks looking for an opportunity for a reasonable entry point. Over the last two trading days in July, both stocks have dropped more than the general market and their respective sectors.
What factors does the 5i team attribute to these very short term drops? Do these factors indicate further drop is likely in the short term?
What factors do you consider worthy of weighing? In your opinion what would be a good point to patiently await to own both of these stocks?
Q: Could you comment on Gild earnings and your feelings on the company going forward. It is down today; would you consider it a buy, hold or sell? Thank you!
Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you please provide an update on the fundamentals of Questor. In particular its cash balance, debt level, insider ownership and recent activity, cash flow, P/E as well as anticipated P/E, and anything else you think is relevant. Also your opinion on its growth prospects and do you think these growth prospects rely completely on the future of the energy sector. Do you think Questor has the ability to outlast a sustained energy downturn. I ask this as an existing shareholder considering selling part of my position (at a substantial loss) and allocating the money somewhere else. Your research and advice has always been very helpful and greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Q: Hello 5i Could you comment on the effect of Route 1 ROI announcing June 1/20 that they won a contract to supply the state of California the state-of-the-art Automatic License Plate Recognition ("ALPR") system that will enhance officer safety.
They seem to have good technology but the stock price languishes.
Q: Can you tell me the difference between net income and adjust net income? What are companies adjusting for? Also, when there is a street estimate, and analysts estimating for net income or an adjusted figure?
Q: I am contemplating to sell GUD and CCL.b from my registered accounts due to their lack of performance. Please advise if the still good to continue hold at the current market conditions ? If not, which one should be sold first ? Thank you. Bill
Q: I don't own Sherritt thankfully. You note today (July 31) in your response to a question on CNC that nickel prices may strengthen due to electric battery demand. Do you think this will help S or are is the company too far gone? S used to own a nickel mine or smelter to Cuba. Does S still have nickel resources in Cuba and if so do you think a Democratic victory this November will ease restrictions on the import of Cuban nickel into the United States? Any comments on S's cobalt warrants? Are the holders in the money?
Thanks,
Jim
Q: Peter, Ryan and staff; RPRX has been suggested as a reasonable entery into the US Pharmaceutical industry. I personally know little of the industry so your opinion would be greatly appreciated.
Your past advice and suggestions have made retirement quite enjoyable. Thank you in advance for your help.
Q: In researching key ratios for a particular company, one metric is cash flow.
Could you please explain the difference between price to cash flow vs. price to free cash flow and what might be a reasonable target in each case.
Thanks, Brian
