Q: Hello Peter,
If you were starting a new account with 100k and wanted to build a somewhat balanced portfolio of 10 US equities, with a 10 year timeframe, which 10 would you currently choose, including considering current price?

Q: Hi 5i,
Macys recently announced an offering of $1.3b senior secured notes and judging from share price spike the markets seem to like something about it.
Can you tell me why this happened and if this stock is investable with potential at current price, for a 2 year time horizon. Why/why not?

Q: Thank you for the great service you provide.
I would like to increased my industry sector holdings. I presently have TRI, BBU.UN,HON, (full position of CNR and CPR combined), FTT,
STN and NFI ( in the portfolio analysis summary NFI is listed as consumer spending cyclical. Should it not be listed as industrial? )
Goal is growth and income. 2 to 3 year hold.
Are there any you would sell?
Are there any you would add to?
Need to increase US funds as well.

Q: "...digitizing the delivery of healthcare by providing patients access to all points of their care from their phone, tablet or desktop computer." Purely speculative at this point, the concept is interesting in today's world and beyond where avoiding waiting rooms full of potentially sick people is preferred. Anyone at 5i looked at this little stock? Got any thoughts?

Q: Do you have any information about how Chartwell is faring in the present crisis, compared to other companies in this industry? Are any of its residences among the 5 disaster cases in Ontario? What about in Quebec and the other provinces? In other words, is there information available that lets us assess how a particular long-term retirement residence company is doing relative to the others?

I am thinking to buy a small group of China US ADR as growth china group:
TCEHY - Tencent Holding
BABA - Alibaba Group
AACAY- AAC Technologies
XIACY - Xiamoi Corp
HKXCY- Hong Kong Exchange
I will not do it until Trump not going to delist them.
Appreciate your opinion on my List. Or am I crazy ?

Q: Hi Peter, one of my first investments after joining 5i, based on your high rating, was Enghouse. It has been a home run for me, up well over 200%! But I'm surprised that such a good stock seems so 'quiet'. I rarely read about it or hear it mentioned on BNN, for example, and see relatively few member questions on it. Does this surprise you? And while you have it B+, it is not in your portfolios and often your ranking of it seems somewhat lukewarm, at least as compared to several other tech stocks. Is this just a $3 billion+ company that is somewhat underappreciated or unknown to many investors? And for that reason or others, do you still see it as a good long-term hold?
