Q: The last time you commented on Kinross Gold was almost a year ago, February 17 2015. (... that I could find...) At that time, it seemed you felt investors would be better off in just about any other gold company than Kinross due to its debt and other issues. Do you still feel the same today? I'm just wondering why the stock is shooting up -- I don't see any substantive reporting -- so what am I missing? Is it a good buy? or a trap? If so, could you state your preference in the gold sector, other than AEM or Goldcorp. Thanks.
Q: I am interested in returning to the gold sector but would appreciate some insight as to what you would prefer, I'm agnostic. Would you pick bullion, a producer or two or an etf of producers. Any ideas of where to go, specifically and generally would be wonderful.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I am wondering how you are viewing the US economy these days. You had been rather bullish on for several months and other than the latest jobs report, it seems to be doing ok. Is the market not in step with the economy at this time, for whatever reason, or has something fundamentally changed? I hope I am not being naive in thinking that the Fed had not idea what there were doing when they signalled a strengthening economy by raising rates.
Thaks for the insight?

Q: You have often said that you are indifferent to WSP and STN and and that you like them both. However, STN stock seems to be more stable than WSP. What might be the differences between the companies that would account for this?
Appreciate the insight.

Q: What's happening here today?
Q: when can we expect the performance numbers for your portfolio's?
it will be interesting to note how your bullish bias for the last 6 months has fared in the results.

Q: Looks like strong volume today relative to historical daily averages on the tsx. Anything to read from this either positive or negative?
Thanks

Q: Quick follow up question on PBH you said you show a forward PE of 20.9 I was quoting (I guess) current as shown on Globe Investor and other sites as 257. Forward PE is indeed 20. So which is most useful in the present market. Is the EPS at .17 based on the current or forward PE. Should I be bias to one or the other as a general long term investor using it a tool for entry. Thanks for you service.
Q: I would like to replace the dividend income I have been receiving from CSE. Once the sale goes through, I was thinking about acquiring AltaGas for income. What is your current opinion on ALA. Do you have other suggestions?
Q: Do you think todays drop is a good buying opportunity?
thank you

Q: I keep hearing the phrase "the market sell-off has been orderly". What does that mean?
Q: What's happening with ESL today??
Q: Why the big drop in ESL today?
Q: Hi Peter and Ryan,
Nevsun has a lot of cash in the bank. Seems to be trading close to cash value. Are there any other similar companies, which have high cash levels, which you think may be good buys in this market. I remenber you providing a list several months ago, whicn included Wi-Lan, so I'm asking for an updated list.
Thanks
Dave

Q: Hi Team,
I see the independent review in response to the short report is out. Do you have any concerns especially with the following?
Corporate Processes and Controls
The Committee and its advisors also considered the performance of Intertain's corporate processes and controls and the financial and governance functions and oversight at Intertain. The Committee has made recommendations for changes and improvements in these areas, including to address inadequate documentation, approvals and record keeping in respect of certain payments previously made by Intertain that were recorded and fully expensed by it as transaction expenses in connection with its prior acquisitions.
Thank you, Michael

Q: what do you think of this company for income and growth.
Q: Peter and Team,
I've been a holder of CSU for a number of years, trimming the position as it gets overweight in the portfolio. With the recent down draft, I am at approximately 4% weighting.
Any thoughts on topping up the position and, further, why the big downdraft in the stock now? I have seen these down drafts with CSU leading into earnings announcements in the past only to have them beat and the stock rallies a lot in the following weeks.
Thoughts? Is this a case where we should sell and wait on the sidelines until we see a bottom start to form from a technical perspective and then buy back in?

Q: Further to "February 08, 2016 (asked by patricia)" earlier this morning. I have numerous CAD margin accounts at TD Waterhouse. This is to facilitate selling one stock and then quickly buying another stock without waiting for settlement date. I NEVER have a debit balance in my margin accounts. My understanding is that my stock positions are held in BULK SEG at the brokerage and treated as if the margin account was a Cash account. Can you comment on this. Is there still any danger during a banking crisis??
Q: ANY THOUGHTS ON THE TAKEOVER OF LAKESHORE GOLD-IS THIS A GOOD THING?
