I would like to increase my REIT from 4.5% to 6% in my RRIF portfolio(Equally divided between ZRE and XRE) and notice that both do not have CSH.UN and FCR
Questions
a) Is it good time increase position in REIT?
b) GAZIT owns 42.8% of FCR, how do you view this?
c) Which one will you choose?

There was an interesting article in the Globe and Mail this morning on the subject of Restaurant Royalty Trusts. What are you thoughts on these type of trusts such as PZA and AW.UN? Is there an etf that covers most of them and is this a better way to go? If not, would you recommend any individual name? Thanks

I apologize for asking all the US equity questions as I appreciate you have said many times it is a challenge to cover both north and south of the border BUT... the US appears to be the place to be right now if we are going to enjoy some success.

I bought TWX @ $64 and have held it for almost 2 years. There has recently been some "not so great" news coming out of this company and this sector in general as the landscape in US Media appears to be going through some changes.

I did sell 50% of my position @ $88.61 in July and now feel very happy I did so.

It is always wise to buy & sell on news and my question now is should I consider getting out completely all things considered and look elsewhere or, hang tough? And have you noticed any further rumors about a take over as this has been an item for some time?

And if I do sell, where would you suggest I look to reinvest the capital? I have approx 40% of my portfolio is U$ and presently own WFC, APPL, DIS, MCK & CBI which I am patiently treading water with.

Q: I'm looking for Canadian blue chip stocks on the order of BAM.A and WN that in themselves are like mini-etfs. Are there many others like those? I know there are companies such as EIF that acquire diverse businesses, but I'm looking more for the blue chip category. I've owned CSU for quite a while, which I consider the kind of blue chip I'm interested in, since it it solid and serves every sector in many countries. Thank you.

Q: Overall, I have a faily well balanced portfolio based on your Balanced Equity model. However, my TFSA is now a bit of a disaster and, after Amaya's (AYA) results today, is firmly in the red. Not a place I like to be. In addition to AYA, I also own Concordia (CXR), Currency Excahnge (CXI), Macdonald Dettwiller (MDA), and Boyd. Thank goodness I own Boyd since I have large losses in the other positions.

What to do? I need to get back into my comfort zone. I have a 2-3 year horizon so unless these companies are set to recover in that time frame, I am prepared to move on.

I'd appreciate your comments and recommendations. Michael

Q: DRA.UN reported Q3 results yesterday. they seemed pretty good to me but I am having a little difficulty interpreting their statements. For companies like this what should an investor concentrate on when reviewing results? And what do you think of the results?

Q: Attended a company presentation the other day and the growth potential of this lithium company in Quebec seems quite amazing. The amount of lithium that will be required verses the available secure supply is quite astonishing. Can you give us your take on the lithium market and the status of this co.?
