Q: Hi 5i,
In an otherwise balanced portfolio, I'm looking for some ideas for my TFSA.
Current holdings are KXS, LULU, HPS AND ATS.
I'm open to adding to the above names but was wondering if you
could you please recommend 10 Canadian and 10 US stocks that you feel would work well in a TFSA at this time in the market.
Q: Hi, Based on the quarterly results and management commentary/confidence about their 5 years Growth Plan, and considering today's market reaction/price action of the stock, would you be on board, if we look to bump up current 1.50% position to 3% around $76 level ? Thank You
Q: In a 5iR response on Wednesday about CRWD, there was mention that "its (CRWD) performance seems better than many peers (not all)". And me, wondering what these "better" peers are???.....The reason for asking this is that if they are larger in market capitalization, I might be interested in investing in one....Keen to know about these peers.......Many thanks.....Tom
Q: Peter; Wire has gone from nearly $200. to $182 this am on high volume- I did read your Nov. 01 response- any news to account for the drop? Thanks.
Rod
My RRSP portfolio consists of the above stocks all with relatively the same weighing. Can you suggest 5 names or so, (CDN and U.S) that I take a look at that would complement the above? I am looking for a company that would be a good buy today for both income and capital appreciation - total return.
Thanks
Q: i've leaned on investing.com for real time US and international stock quotes to use for my speculative plays. i like investing.com overall but i'm struggling to find a good free platform for tsx and tsx.v stock real time quotes (ECN for example today did not appear as 'trending' or a 'mover' on that platform and i have noticed that investing.com falls short on CDN stocks in that regard. i realize the team likely uses a bloomberg terminal but what good options are available for myself for CDN stocks thank you very much
Q: HI;
Would you be kind enough to explain the differences and similarities between these two? Is xhy the canadian version of hyg? Is it hedged?
Is there wh tax on xhy. Level 1 or 2? Can I avoid the wh tax by buying hyg? Is hyg a us or canadian listed etf? Is hyg hedged?
Thanks, BEN.
Q: I’m 72 and retired, I would appreciate your view on investing in Canadian long term bond etfs, I plan on purchasing TLT in my U.S. account and was interested in purchasing a Canadian long term etf as well…..I appreciate your views, thank you!
Q: I have seen several analysts commenting recently on how undervalued small cap stocks are compared to larger cap stocks. Some saying we are at the cheapest levels they have ever seen for small caps. If you were to put together a portfolio of 10-12 Canadian small cap stocks intending to benefit from a return to more typical valuations, which stocks would you include? Not thinking about highest risk types, like early phase biotech, exploration stage mining companies, but rather, for high quality, profitable, growing businesses.
Q: I would like to keep "high risk stocks" in my non-registered account, aka trading account, rather than in my TFSA or RRSP or LIRA accounts. But I'm wondering what the attributes or metrics or characteristics of "high risk stocks" are in Canada or US. Keen to learn from you what to look for for such stocks....Thanks....Tom
