Q: Your Portfolio Analytics recommendations was a good reminder that I really should increase the Fixed Income component in our RIFS by a fair amount. There were 3 categories each with two suggestions: 1) "Regular" Fixed Income 2) Fixed Income Defensive Diversifier 3) Fixed Income Aggressive Diversifier. In the 1st category - what I call "Regular fixed income, Two suggestions were given : ZAG and XBB. I was going to select ZAG as it has a better yield (3.86 vs 2.83 %) and a lower MER (.10 vs .19), however, I also notice that the distribution for ZAG is paid in US $. We do not have a significant need for US $ and do not have an active US account . Will the cost of conversion from US to Canadian $'s offset the better yield offered by ZAG ? Are there other pros/cons I should be considering ? Also, any thoughts on purchase timing of these bond etfs - or would you recommend a gradual entry over the next 6 months or so?
Many thanks as always.

Q: I was intrigued by your answer today to the Q re selling shares: If a bid shows for more than 2,000 or 3,000 shares at a 1 cent to 2 cent spread, we would hit that and leave your other offering in place.
I am curious what is the thinking behind that strategy. I also have large position in a few small or microcap stocks and it often seems difficult to reduce a position in a way. My broke has offered to place an "iceberg order".

Q: Your Analytics says I am very short of consumer defensive and technology stocks. I prefer monthly dividend stocks with some growth. Do you have any suggestions.
PS. I love your Analytics. It's a great addition to your service.

Q: I currently own a combined 25% share in Canadian financials. I love the dividend, but I know it is heavy and I am concerned about the negative news I read about the banks. Is the future really that bleak for the banks. Thanks.

Q: Question on Analytics: I was wondering if you could consider a new feature to separately evaluate RESP from all other investments and/or exclude it form the overall assessment.. I don't want to count it towards my net worth. I know i can simply delete RESP positions but it would be very useful have a separate analysis for it.
