Q: Can you give me 2 companies in each of the growth and balanced portfolios in your opinion with the best upward momentum going forward.

Q: In your recent response to Margita you recommended holding Enbridge for the dividend. As a retiree I purchased 1k shares of ENB not only for the dividend income but also the projected dividend growth of 10-12%. What are your thoughts on the later? Is there anything in the latest financials or management comments (or lack thereof) that would cause you to re-consider ENB for the balanced portfolio.

Q: Hello, I see that AT&T has not been doing very well, actually down by about 22% since the beginning of the year. How do you explain that poor performance? Should we switch for another name in the same sector? Regards, Gervais

Q: Hi team,
New website looks great; cleaner and simpler to use. I own two of the FAANG stocks; FB and GOOG. I am overweight FB, but I don’t always trim my winners unless I see heightened risk going forward. Anyway, all FAANG stocks that reported earnings in past week or so, plus MSFT, crushed earnings. All FAANG and MSFT got some nice price gains and held those gains. FB did not and they had a blow-out quarter. It seems every quarter Zuckerberg warns of upcoming big spending on the next big issue. One quarter it was video. This quarter it is the need for much tighter security on ads with all the fuss about fake news and the Russians trying to influence the election. FB and GOOG have been dragged before Congressional committees, although FB seems to be getting most of the heat. FB has said it will hire another 10,000 employees to vet ads and stories for authenticity.
What is your view of FB going forward from here? What is the likelihood that Congress would come down hard on FB (and GOOG) and maybe regulate parts of their businesses? Or will Zuckerberg be able to deflect all this heat with the measures he is taking and FB’s earnings will power ahead without missing a beat?

for an RRSP account, I am looking to deploy cash and purchase one or two stocks per sector. Presently, I am well diversified by both sectors and geography.

At this time, what would be your favorite stocks based on valuation and potential for dividend growth for each sector?

In my TFSA and RRSP, I already own the following stocks you like: ENB, CXI, GOOGL, GUD, OTEX, PHO, SIS, SLF, TD, WCP and ZCL.

Can I get your assessment of Riocan's latest quarterly results released last week?
It seems to me that Riocan is now turning its strategy to redeveloping some of its retail locations into mixed retail/residential communities (with partners), which seems to make sense given the "Amazon effect" on retail. I would think this would be a great opportunity for them in the future, with more profitability than retail leasing alone. What are your thoughts?

In light of the potential takeover by Broadcom, what should I do now and/or if/when it gets taken over? If I have to find a replacement, which US tech-sector stock would you endorse for a generous, stable dividend (preferably >3% if possible) and modest growth, for a longterm hold?

I've been thinking of adding GC to my holdings. They are to report in early November, would you recommend I wait for the results or is it OK to add before given the recent pullback?

Also, in your research report you mention that you would like it if they would start paying a dividend. Has management ever discussed this in the past during conference calls or otherwise?

Q: I am considering selling my position in TOG and replacing it with ENB. I have held TOG for 3 years, its finally increasing in price ( I am down approx. 13%) and ENB is becoming a more attractive price, with a higher yield. I have equal weighting of 15% in both. Would this be a good decision going forward.

Q: Wolfden seems to be on the move lately since announcing they would be purchasing a base metal project in Maine with a subsidiary of Altius Minerals. What are your thoughts on the company and where do you see it going? Is this the beginning of the run like the first version of Wolfden experienced some years back.

Q: What do you expect will the the effect of today's announcement:
"HIVE Blockchain Announces Release of Shares from Lockup", which states that "24,636,705 common shares originally due to be released November 15, 2017 will be released on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 to allow for more market liquidity".
In general, I would expect that an increase in supply will cause the price to fall... But perhaps it is not so simple? What would you expect from this? Also, it is only bringing it forward by a week, so investors may have known about it. Mind you, I expect the vast majority here are retail investors, who may not be aware of such details, and are just buying the trend/hype.
I know predictions are almost impossible, esp. in a case like HIVE, but I would like to know your thought process when evaluating this kind of news, what points you consider most important, etc. (risk, of course, is already off the charts.)
