Q: CXR adding 8 million shares to the float. With the apparent 35 per cent accretive to earnings with their new acquisition do you see huge share dilution in earnings per share or a good increase once things get going?
Q: Grateful for your views on these stocks and could you recommend an ETF that would include them ?
Q: Hi Peter and Ryan,
Can I please get an update on your opinion of Mandalay and Dynacor.
Thanks

Q: I am a new investor looking to invest 25K, with a medium risk tolerance. I was hoping you could suggest some stocks to start building a portfolio and advise as to an appropriate % allocation to ensure I get the diversity but also effectively manage risk. Appreciate the guidance and advice!
Q: could you recommend an etf that makes money if the Canadian dollar goes down and an etf that goes up if the tsx goes down
Q: We are looking to park a significant amount of cash for a year or so. What are your recommended investment options for security of capital with maximum interest return ?
Q: Unfortunately, I bought HCG at the top and am now dow 41%. Channeling my inner 5I, I'm assuming, given you see nothing fundamentally wrong with the company, that my reduced dollars are as well placed here as anywhere else at the moment. It's in my TFSA, so i can't take a tax loss. i'm a senior, more interested in income and maintaining capital than growth, though of course I'm happy if there IS growth. Does the real 5i share the view of my inner 5i, or should I take my loss and go elsewhere? Many thanks
Q: new all time highs for sienna today, any thoughts as what could be going on in the retirement home sector? thanks
Q: I am looking at the Boyd Group Income fund chart and in 3 years it has gone from about $15 to about $60 on an almost linear trendi.e., no volatility. I went to the GlobeinvestorGold site and they show a earning before tax of $42M but a profit/loss of $-15M. What is going on? Do you recommend this fund?
Q: CCL.B has a good run since Carla's question on August 23rd. Would you still consider it a buy? Thanks, Bill
Q: I know PHM isn't part of your coverage universe, but if it was, what kind of rating range will it receive?
Q: Do you see a stock split in the near future

Q: What do you think of the ALA and CAR.UN bought deals?
Q: Could I have your thoughts on the drop in share prices pretty much across the board here: e.g. VRX, GUD, PLI etc.
A sector shift? Profit taking?
Time to sell? Or time to buy?
Perhaps sit still and do nothing?
Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
GS is down over 7% today on an otherwise good day in the markets. Any substantial news that would account for this steep drop? Thanks in advance for your valued advice.

Q: can you comment on the relative attractiveness of the aig warrants versus aig stock at current levels . Obviously the warrants have more leverage Kim
Q: Putting the finishing touches on my porfolio review and trying to decide between Loblaws and Metro. I am a long term investor and don't need income yet but I do appreciate the value a growing dividend payor provides.
As well as MRU has done recently, I am thinking that the Shoppers addition might ultimately provide more growth and profitability for Loblaws. I am thinking of buying only one of them (5% of a balanced, 25 stock portfolio) to avoid having too much diversification but is this a case where a half holding in each is better?
Thanks for the insight.
Paul F.

Q: I am trying to decide how to complete the financial portion of my portfolio. I generally like a concentrated porfolio of 25 - 30 stocks with equal weightings. I currently hold Sunlife and BNS and can't decide between one of HCG, CXI and Element in Canada and one of JP Morgan and Wells Fargo in the US. (assuming this is not too much for the group)
Would appreciate any comments you may have and thanks for the insight.
