Q: Hello 5i,
You seem to be just a little more positive on Torstar this time around. Unfortunatly i have been an owner of a small amount for a long time. But, i have been thinking of doing some swing trading on it. It seems to have quite large movements in share price in relatively short periods of time. I dont't think i would buy it as a keeper. But, i thought swing trading may work. I have been afraid of bancrupcy, thought. You don' t seem to be too worried about this, though. I was wondering about your thoughts on this strategy?

Q: I am thinking of selling (MFC) Manulife and switching to (EFN) Element Financial. I would trigger a capital loss and as Manulife seems to have ongoing problems what do you think of this idea or do you have a better idea. I already own RBC and BMO in this area. THANKS

Today RDM's market cap exceeded $100 million. As a former fund manager will this bring in more institutional investors into this stock and allow it to trade higher multiples?

Q: I sold RCI.B yesterday, after its big drop, and bought Telus. T is gone this morning after it took a big drop. Now my only telcom stock is a 5% weighting in BCE, with a 38% gain. Can you recommend another telcom or should I quit while I'm ahead? Thanks

I'm down fairly heavily on this and am wondering if at this point the losses are due to the suspension of the dividend or if there are other warning signs? If so, would you expect it to hang around just over $5 or do you see lots of room to fall in a sinking/sideways market? Finally, buy, sell or hold

Q: Your recent answer about this company surprisingly failed to make any reference to the the Site C contract which is expected to generate $45 million of EBITDA in 2016. I would have thought this to be relevant.

Q: What are your thoughts on this company ? Does debt look manageable ? Is it a buy ?

Q: I am trying to decide where your sentiments really lie on Ten Peaks coffee. I'm thinking of a possible switch from TPK to BOS, given BOS's recent decline, and its high rating.

In your recent report on Ten Peaks, you gave it a C +. By 5 I standards, a C+ rating denotes "Companies we do not expect much growth from. May pay a dividend we would view as sustainable. Would own for income, needs to be watched."

This doesn't sound very hopeful for TPK.

Is it then, in 5 I terms, on the low end of probability as a growth stock? All along I've been reading this as one which has good potential, but your recent rating makes me think twice.

I've had my eye on BOS for some time, and wondered if now might not be a good time to switch, notwithstanding the very diverse industries in which they lie.

Q: What are your thoughts on this stock now? is there another you prefer in this sector?

Q: It's been over a year since you've looked at VersaPay (v.vpy). In the meanwhile, their move with ARC software is really starting to pay off, with acceptance/expansion to new customers and end-users developing even faster than the company itself had estimated just 3 months ago. What's your take?

Q: Can I get your thoughts on this very new etf launched by purefunds? Has 36 stocks of companies involved in video games. Has a very small cap of 2.6m. The gaming industry is an evolving industry and judging by the price of video games constantly increasing in price that my kids have no problem in forking out the dough for, revenue should increase for the companies. More companies are getting involved in the online gaming such as Amazon buying twitch, Facebook launching Oculus Rift and China's gaming market is expected to double over the next 4 yrs. This etf would seem to be a winner. I know it is a very risky etf and probably have to hold for a few yrs but what do you think?
