Q: It looks like Alaris doesn’t cover it’s dividend currently. Wanted to make sure I was correct. If so how long could they maintain their divided before having to cut?
Q: So now it makes sense why it crashed with no "news" I mean no news for us, but the promoters of the stock, new well in advance of all the inside maneuvers and took their profits , while dumb money are .. well dump money. Pretty much all health care stocks have been a disaster: PHM, CXR, PLI, CRH. The only way to make money on this type of stocks is to be early and leave once everybody is talking about them.

But if no, I understand !
Thanks as Always ,

Q: What are your thoughts on BNS at these prices and the negative sentiment around a few things (expense increase, acquisition today SP down 2.5% afterhours, and Russia)? I own the stock but have been looking closely at it lately and wondering if I should be sticking with it, buying more, or moving elsewhere. I feel the south american presence adds diversity but also risk. The market is clearly beating BNS up more than the other banks for a few reasons. Most concerning is when I look at the top 4 biggest banks in size (BNS being 3rd), BNS has performed the worst over 1yr, 2yr, and 5yr periods. Looking at that I'm not seeing the higher dividend being worth the lack of performance. What am I missing?
I sock away a bit of cash for the summer months as i find there is always a few opportunities to pick up a good companies at a discount. I limit this to a small portion of my portfolio but would like your recommendations on your top 5 CDn (growth) and 5 top US Dividend Payers (need US income) that you would pick up on a dip or low volume during the summer months? Last August was a great example of picking up really good names at a discount. I realize there are no guarantees that we will see the same market but always on the lookout to pick good long term names to add to my portfolio. In the past i have picked up Visa, JPM this way.
Q: MU was downgraded today by Morgan Stanley. I have done very well with MU thanks to 5I. Any concerns with this downgrade. Is it time time to take profits and move on. Great service!!
Q: Would you please comment on the impact to their business model and future share price of the two recent announcements by FLY-X that it is certified for Inmarsat SB-S platform on May 24, 2018 and their receipt of Canadian Patent for FLYHTStream announced on May 30, 2018. The share price is up almost 13% on higher than average volumes today on this last news. Thanks
Could you give me your thoughts on this stock?
Also which portfolio would you recommend putting it in?(income, balanced or growth).
My son is thinking about adding this to his portfolio.
I might be interested in picking up a half position.
Q: Hi Peter,
Ten Peaks comprises approximately 2% of my portfolio. I am down approximately 10%. I am wondering whether I should sell and take my loss or hold on to it. I like to invest for the long term and don't mind carrying the stock if there's a chance that it will recover.
Looking forward to your advice.
Jane
Q: Hello,
Would you please comment on Iridium in terms of risk for a young 25 year old, and it's debt level, and positive as well as negative attributes as well as anything else which you can think of.
Q: I have been watching Input for a while now and it seems to now have pulled back to levels that are becoming interesting. I know there are law suits in the courts regarding some of their early loans and their earnings are very lumpy, quarter by quarter. They just introduced "mortgage streaming" whereby they use canola as payment for mortgages. I like the streaming aspect of this business and I see a fit in the Ag sector for a business like this. What do you think about Input at current levels? Thanks
Q: Company is "projecting transformation growth" and a "dramatic increase in consolidated cash flow from operating activities over the next 3 years". 1st quarter results were quite good and and yet the stock seems to be stuck in neutral! With a PE of 26ish, is the good news already baked into the stock price or do you see value here.
