Q: Hi
Do you consider ANV as quite speculative in the gold and silver sector.
If the precious metals stay strong this company seems to have lots of room to increase in price.
I look forward to your opinion.
Have a nice weekend

Q: Just wondering about the silver market and where you think its going in the near future. As well what do you think of INM as they have found some silver down there in Mexico. Thanks for your insight
Q: Hello best team.
do you have any insight in dsm?
It focuses on rare earth.
With the precious metals heading in the right direction, could this be interesting as well?
Q: I currently have 25% of my total portfolio in resource stocks with the majority (50%) of that in gold (G, YRI, ABX) and silver stocks (SLW). With Teck’s recent drop, would you sell ABX and use the proceeds to buy Teck (to add some diversity and get a better overall return - hopefully) or would you hold on to ABX and ride the current gold bull up? I have a 2 year time frame.

Q: AVL SEEMS TO BE ON AN UP-TICK. THEIR RECENT AGREEMENT WITH THE NW TERRITORY METIS NATION SEEMS TO BE ANOTHER POSITIVE SIGN.
AT WHAT POINT IN TIME WOULD YOU CONSIDER GIVING A SERIOUS LOOK TO INVESTING IN AVL? EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THEM... THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!
Q: Hi Team,
It's a commonly held belief that the price of gold rises as the economy deteriorates. For the past few weeks, we've been seeing upward movement in the bullion and in gold stocks but no real sign that the economy is tanking or even headed that way. Do you have any recollection of past periods where both gold and the economy grew in tandem? If so, this would make me feel a bit more secure buying miners at this point in time.

Rmx just got 75 million in financing and feel that they need to get an additional financing for 100 million to complete the mine and be in production. Could you give your thoughts about the financing deal. If their projections and timelines are correct what kind of company would this be comparable to that is currently in production. Last one, why do you think management has so little skin in the game?
Q: I have been reading about China accumulating major gold reserves and that the recent purchase of a large bank building in NY city contains a huge gold storage vault. Do you agree that the US monetary system is going to be challenged and are gold streaming companies a good buy? Any recommendation?
Q: Hi Folks. Please give me your opinion on SCZ - Santacruz Silver Mining as a long term play on the price of silver. I'd like to establish a position while the stock is down due to $10.75MM raise. Can I assume the price will stay down until the deal closes??
Q: Good Morning from Thailand,
Sorry, but the weather is just gorgeous here in Chiang Mai! I have holdings in PAAS (and PAA), PSLV, IAG, HMY (about 20% of portfolio). I'm winning on PAAS AND PAA but IAG AND HMY am on the losing side. I have read your previous comments on FR and SLW. I recently picked up some FR and do like SLW for its leverage on the price of silver. Would you recommend taking profits and buying SLW and/or more of FR to keep my 20% weighting? Furthermore would you recommend selling IAG and HMY and replacing them with something else? Thanks for your service and let me know if you would like weather updates.
Cheers,
Rick
The Gold sector seems to be recovering. As I look at the charts for the companies, one seems to stand out as having had less impact during the fall from $1,900-odd to $1,200-odd. It has a small dividend and is participating in the recent rise. It is Franco-Nevada (FNV-T). Given that those companies that get beaten up the least during tuff times tend to be the leaders in a recovery, is this a company you would recommend ? Are there other that you favour more ?
Q: re IVW on TSE. I bought into IVW some time ago to find a way to lever into Chinese car production and electric bicycle batteries. The company seems to have gotten past a very unlucky few years and I am prepared to load up some more with stocks I believe in. To add to some more due diligence I believe Peter might know some of the key players esp Trevor Eaton and Wayne Richardson. They have had dealings with Sprott. What are your thoughts on their capabilities and fraternity of mining folks who I have always believed is nothing more than a self interest group. Perhaps not on the scale of the energy sector but I always am sceptical by policy. The Chinese transportation sector is juicy but difficult to lever into, hence my interest in lead.
