Q: Good Morning. I am interested in investing in metals, particularly copper, cobalt, etc. that are used in EV. Would you please provide names of companies or etfs (Cad or US $$) that you would recommend for these materials and/or electric vehicle companies? Thank you. Cathy

Q: What are your top 5 gold companies? Is it time to buy gold shares ? RAK
Q: I would appreciate your advice on how to manage the more commodity based holdings in my portfolio - in this case, sepcifically Methanex although I hope one day to be faced with the same problem with my oil stocks. I tend to be a buy and hold type and only sell to keep the holding below 7% of the portfolio or if the business rational changes. Is this the best strategy to manage MX? You noted in a question the other day that you were unable to ascertain why it was rising in price. Is it best, therefore, to sell some now (I am up 20% - 30%) and keep it as a smaller holding in the portfolio or with commodities is it best to take a more "go all the way" approach and ride the commodity pricing wave so as not to sell this type of winner too early? Implicit in this strategy is the theory that the company will only do well while methanol prices are high and then the stock will drop significantly at some point. Or is my thinking all wrong and I should treat it as I would any other company?
Appreciate your insight.

Q: I know its out of your scope, but this company was just bought at 12 cents (when trading at 16 a few weeks ago for many months). i have been a shareholder since 2014. I feel like this story was complete ripoff for shareholders. Is there any hope to avoid that horrible deal?
Q: I am thinking of investing more in the precious metals space, Cobalt and Graphite in particular. Of QBOT, ECS or BKR, which do you prefer? I realize they are very speculative but would appreciate your input. I currently hold KAT, NMX and LAC and doing well in the last 8 months.
Q: Which one is the better option in the takeover of trek mining--unfortunately i own them both.

Q: Interested in your thoughts on Trek Mining, given the upcoming amalgamation of Trek, Newcastle Gold and Anfield Gold to become Equinox Gold. Also your thoughts on the proposed company's management team given the past record of the chairman Ross Beaty. Trek is trading at close to its 52 week low. Does that indicate a lack of confidence by investors in the new company.
Q: Glencore announced it will bring back zinc production again (as much as about 500mil tons). Can I get your comments on how this might affect zinc prices and TV in the next few quarters? i.e. How fast could Glencore ramp up its production causing a meaningful hit to the stock price of TV? Maybe this news was anticipated already by the market since we have had a pullback in TV from the 1.60 level.
Q: Wich one will you pick between LUN & GLNC, given Tesla's Cobalt requirements and the ensuing tome frame for the demand of Cobalt.
Q: Is AEM still a hold or is it time to let it go?

Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. (WPM $121.23)
-
First Majestic Silver Corp. (FR)
-
Silvercorp Metals Inc. (SVM $6.09)
Q: Hi, I am looking to sell my SVM shares to take a tax loss. However, with the price of silver down and a potential bounce that may occur soon, could you recommend a couple alternatives I could buy now to take advantage of any bounce that occurs in the precious metals? I already own AEM and Goldcorp on the gold side. How does First Majestic compare with SVM, besides it being triple the market cap, would it be a suitable replacement? Any better options that may offer more torque in a bounce? Thanks.
Q: What's going to happen with this class action against LUN & the effect on the stock price?
Q: I am underweight in the gold sector. What is your opinion of FNV? I like covered calls. Is this a decent candidate? Thanks
Q: Hello. On Nov. 24, your answer to Steven regarding PHYS and GLD was “but if you want truly physical bullion representation, for crisis insurance purposes, there are better options.”
Would you please elaborate regarding what “better options” an individual investor should consider.
Thanks.

Q: Hi,
I'm looking to gamble a small amount of money (just for fun), would GGI be a good candidate? Could you possibly suggest a few more with large growth potential? I'm ok with 100% loss.
Thanks! Happy holidays!

Q: Hi 5i. Just a comment, further to your December 8th answer to Paul’s question on opposite direction same-day moves exhibited by WPM and precious metals prices. In addition to the points you made, it is probably worth considering that the value in the market of either a royalty streaming company or a metals producer is more tied to available futures contracts than to the present day's spot price for the metal. It makes sense to value a producer by the expectations for the entire period of time it will be producing. Generally what people see quoted is either spot or a futures price for a single delivery date, rather than something that extends out over the range of the futures contracts for the next several years. As futures pricing can shift relative to spot, and different futures dates’ pricing can shift relative to each other, it is not only possible that individual companies will move opposite to a commodity quote on a given day, it is almost certain to occur fairly frequently.

Q: Do you have any insights as to what may be going on at Azincourt Energy Corp and who is doing the trading? The news releases since May seem like they are planning something bigger and the rise on volume today seems very unusual.
Thanks,
Joe
