Q: Hello Peter,
With rising rates, it seems that banks, commodities and industrials do well. Can you please suggest some etfs in Canada that would take advantage of those sectors? For the banks, i am thinking xfn and zeb but unsure of the others. Also, the US banks are taking small hits. Do you think canadian banks will follow suit or are they very different? Thanks very much.

Q: Hi,
Looking to add a small/mid-cap Cdn insurance company, either pure P&C or a specialty/reinsurer. (already own a lifeco and banks). A 3-4 year hold planned, in my TFSA.
Which do you feel has more promise for growth, and have you been hearing of any potential acquisitions for either?
DFY has no history as a public company, so it's not likely to make it into your Growth portfolio any time soon. TSU is already there.
THX.

Q: Good morning everyone at 5i!
Peter, I would like to compliment you on your National Post article I read this weekend. You are a breath of common sense in this “ the sky is falling” world. I always feel much more optimistic after having read your articles. Thank you. Now to my question. You equated bitcoin to the tulip bubble. I always wondered about bitcoin and the attraction. Should I divest myself of my holding in Coin, if there is no real future in bitcoin?? That, and Square are my only exposure to the bitcoin market. Cheers, Tamara

Q: I have full positions in banks: Scotia, TD, and a US bank, European bank and South American bank. They all pay generous dividends, and are doing well.
I worry about fintechs ultimately eroding their strengths. Can you recommend an ETF focussed on fintechs?

Q: Banks had another big run in January. Are prices already reflecting all the good news for the banks, namely higher interest rates and a good economy?
Secondly if someone had new cash looking for a home in big cap blue chip dividend paying companies which of the financial, pipelines, telecom and real estate sectors give the best upside from here?
Thank-you.

Q: Hi 5i

Given that FSZ valued its own company share price at $9.80 ($34.89/3.56), why should investors be paying a premium to buy this stock today ($10.20 after decline)?

With new CEO in place now, what is to say he doesn't decide to cut the dividend that we all seem to be hanging around for these days?
