Q: Over the past year HCG is down ~ 15% while FN is up ~ 45%. FN has an attractive yield and low PE ratio ~ 13 according to TMX. I hold most stocks in your balanced portfolio so wonder if it would be time to sell HCG and replace with FN.
Appreciate your comments on this trade. Thanks to your recommendations in BE portfolio I own many profitable stocksI would not have bought otherwise.

Q: I manage finances for my 93 year-old mother-in-law (she is demented but fortunately still a nice lady). Her investments are mostly dividend-paying stocks. I do need to raise some capital for her care. I am hesitating between selling shares in K-Bro Linen versus Boston Pizza Royalties IF. I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you.
I thought in this new world of media, content would be king and DHX Media has it in spades. The stock has been weak and getting weaker every day for over a month, what would account for this. Also do you see this company getting taken out by a larger player like a Disney or Viacom or is it too small?
Q: Amaya is a small portion in my portfolio. I bought it several months ago when its price is lower. Now, I have a 10% gain. What do you think about its future potential? sell or hold? THANKS
Q: Can you give me an update on Cipher? Seems to be stuck. I know pharmas have not been great overall, but just wondering if there is hope for this one, or should I cut bait and ditch it?
Q: CGX dropped since its last Q results, but lately is turning around with announcement of acquistion of Tricorp on 9/21 & recommendation by Motley Fool that it should be part of any portfolio on 9/23.On Sep 24,TD increased its target price to $59 with a buy rating.May we have 5I's concise views. Thanks for your normal great services & views.Looking forward to seeiny Ryan on BNN on 9/30
Q: In view of the effect on the market of the unknowns coming up in the next few months - with US election and its aftermath, and good possibility of US bankrate going up in Dec. I am thinking of going defensive. I have quite a few of the stocks listed in both your Balanced and Income portfolios, could you please list for me which of these stocks you would designate as best 'defensive' - (whatever that means). Thanks again, always look forward to hearing your comments.
Q: Hi All at 5i! There is a 3:1 stock split coming for this company. Is it better to buy the stock before or after the split? And would the same apply to any stock split? I was under the impression that a stock split dilutes the value of the companies shares.I read that in ADW's case it increases the liquidity of the stock . Is this a good thing? Does it have a liquidity problem? Thank you, Tamara
Q: Ten Peaks Coffee popped about 5% today on high volume. Do you know of any reason why? I've been tracking the stock's descent for the past few months and waiting for it to bottom. In your estimation, would this be a good time to buy?

Q: 1) The board of directors is staffed with a lot of what seems to be high level financial people with a lot of experience, what I did not see was a high level IT person, which for a company who is selling IT solutions for banks seemed a little remiss. My question was "how can you manage that portion of the company in a very specialized area if not even one person on the board knows anything about IT?
2)There was nothing in the literature about the security of their IT platforms. In the age where IT security and on line financial fraud is a huge concern, I thought it should have at least a nod in the presentation.
Q: Hi: good news on CXI- can you comment on the TAM for this business? pretty small at $30m rev. How big are they able to grow - and who are their competition? What is the likely exit- sale to bigger player? Thanks
Q: An article in the Globe w.r.t Segregated Fund.
Can you help me to understand how can Segregated fund guarantee to retain principle of invested money? Can you suggest such funds to invest in. Also, I am considering to increase my investment in healthcare stocks, I have EXE, HIG.un, considering NWH.un, CSH.un and NHC. Would appreciate your help to select, perhaps others you can suggest.

Q: Having hoped that SYZ would have been part of the "growth" in my portfolio, I now have to make a decision, hang on and wait for something to happen, or move on to other securities that will hopefully produce growth. What are your thoughts?
