Q: Noticed a question earlier about the convertible debentures (TCN.DB.U); just wanted to bring to attention that this is a USD denominated debenture and the conversion price of $10.46 is also quoted in USD. So, based on the current CAD/USD rate this was issued at the typical premium as the concurrent subscription receipt offering was at $9.90 CAD, and the stock is still trading below the conversion price which would be roughly $13.90 at today's CAD/USD rate.
Q: just reading an article about Boeing contract for $30M to renew their communication subsystems. Wondering if you know what the average lifespan of satellite equipment and is the start of a potential replacement cycle for MDA. Thanks. Chris
Q: Had a bond mature and am considering replacing it with TCN.DB.U. Seems like a pretty good deal, 5.75% 31-MAR-2022 maturity with conversion at 10.46. It's trading at 103.00 and TCN is at 10.90 so you get over double the yield and it should trade with TCN because its already above the conversion rate. Some convertibles come to market with the conversion price 30, 40, 60% above current equity price. Why did this new TCN convertible come to market already at the conversion price?
Q: Hi,
Thank you for the report on FSZ. It seems like a good company trading at a low valuation. Why has FSZ's share price fared so poorly over the past 5 years or so? (It seems to trade for a lower price than it did 5 years ago). Does the fact that FSZ's share price has declined for most of the past few years affect its rating?
Thanks,
IF

Is it too early to buy CXI for the seasonality play or is now the time to establish a short term trading position?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
In your latest newsletter you mentioned to trim SIS back down to 5%. I have a very small position and hesitated on adding to it because it kept moving up and I thought I had missed my opportunity. I'm now up 150% which represents 2.7% of my portfolio (thanks for that and I'm now kicking myself for not taking a full position).
Is it too late to top it up to 5% now?
Thanks for this great service.
Rob

Q: I am getting a bit frustrated with High Liner and am now down 19%. I am thinking of switching to Loblaws. What do you think?
Q: In a fairly diversified portfolio, I only have 2.5% in the telecom sector. I can either bring BCE up to a full position or buy a half position in Telus. I feel comfortable doing either. What would you recommend?
Q: Hi 5i team,
I sold HCG since there is to much smoke at this point to hold on to them (CEO firing, heated housing market, shorts, etc...). I only have SLF for financials and was wondering what would be worthy additions along with a decent dividend?
Andrew

Thanks

Q: I heard the AMZN announced that they are getting into the same space as ENGH and suspect this is a large reason for the drop today. Can you please let me know if this changes your thoughts on ENGH going forward? Perhaps time to sell after a good run and look for better opportunities elsewhere?
Thanks for the help

Q: I know from your many answers of late that you have confidence in CXI and its management team long term.
Are concerned about the recent resignations of the CFO and now another director; if not, how do you get comfortable with developments like these - do you talk to the departing employees?
