Q: I'm a retired investor with a balanced portfolio looking for a stable total return. I hold the above 3 utilities and am wondering if a switch from BLX to FTS would provide a greater overall return over the next 5 years?
Q: This question may have been asked a number of years ago. If I hold my entire stock portfolio through a brokerage - one of the big banks for instance - what risk is there to my holdings should the brokerage go bust ? Are the holdings still intact? Is there a dollar amount limit ?
I have a hard time interpreting this from the OSC site.

Q: Please provide an update on the ATVI acquisition. Does this still makes sense as an arbitrage opportunity?
Q: Hi Peter, I'm 65 and retired, not by choice and have stocks in a Margin account, an RRSP account and a TFSA account. Originally I opened the Margin account as I was told I needed that type of account to short stocks but chickened out and never did. I've held on to this account but am wondering if it's good to hold on to it or if it's better to move the funds into either one of the other accounts. If it's a good Idea where would it be better to move the shares to the TFSA or RRSP. Thanks as always. Nick
Q: Hi Peter,
It seems the market wants to take a breather what with inflation being sticky- makes me hesitant to put in new money?
Would you be a buyer of TWLO after today's price surge or wait for it to settle (and maybe miss the boat)? How would you compare it to CRWD as far as the return on investment is concerned? I have been using CRWD as a benchmark for comparison of risky growth stocks. Do you think that is a reasonably fair and quick method to evaluate ?

Q: This question concerns Healthcare in a well-diversified Canadian portfolio (~30 holdings), focused slightly toward growth. Our target is for a 5% weight in this sector.
Currently, we only hold CSH.UN at a loss. We are open to selling it outright and replacing it with 1 or more of your favourites or topping it up and adding at least 1 growth-oriented suggestion. I understand from a previous question that CSH.UN has performed in a close range with REITs, which have adequate representation in our portfolio.
What would be your top picks in Healthcare for long term holds (5+ years)? How would you rate them (1-10, 10 being best) for new money today?
How would you proceed? Would you suggest going with 1 or 2 names? Would you suggest topping up CSH.UN and adding a 2nd name, selling CSH.UN and adding 1 or 2 new names, etc?
Thanks.

Q: Hi for growth momentum and overall risk over 1-2 years which of these 2 would you prefer?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: There is mention of a partnership with Amazon. Is this a good or bad thing? Please explain
Q: No questions on FSLY since last August. I am still holding and pleasantly surprised by recent improvement. Appreciate your views on Buy, sell or hold and why ? If sell what would you replace it with ?

Q: Can you provided me with the average earnings for WSP for the last 5 years.
Q: Today you answered a question about whether Apple or Microsoft would be the best choice for future growth. You answered by looking at the forward P/E and average growth prospects. I imagine you got those figures from your Bloomberg terminal. But I was wondering what the average investor could use for this information. I imagine there are numerous projections as well, so how to choose a reliable one?

Q: Hi
How would you rate these REITs based on debt, income security and growth? I am trying to determine where to put some cash in my TFSA, where I ger a good income, but not having to worry about the dividend being cut. Thanks, Len

Q: What are your thoughts on PLG (Platinum Group Metals)? How does it compare to other platinum plays?
Q: HCG has an agreement in place for SFC to buy all outstanding shares at $44 sometime around mid-2023. It is trading under $42 right now. Why would it not be trading closer or at $44? Thanks in advance

Q: I'd like your assessment of MKB versus aggregate bond etfs like XBB, ZAG, and VAB. Has MKB performed better than the listed etfs? If it has performed better then is it because the etf has taken on additional risk to achieve the higher return? How might one incorporate MKB into the bond portion of their portfolio? Is it worth the higher fees?
Q: PPL vs ENB for total return potential over 5 years? Compared fundamentals on RBC direct investing and PPL is cheaper, higher return on equity, less debt and more profitable. After my review I concluded PPL may now be a better stock . Do you agree?
Q: Good morning.
I noticed that KEY is going to switch from monthly payout to quarterly. Is this good, bad or neither? Pembina started that too this year. The dividends are the same but over the pass few years I notice a few stocks switching. I think Parklawn (PLC) did a few years ago as well as AD.UN. It just seems like more and more of my monthly payers are switching to quarterly.
