Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Yesterday in your Webinar, you said "Sell the losers!"
I am down 44% in TSGI, 48% in VET and 35% in WEF. So are you! These stocks remain in your Portfolios.
Please help me understand what constitutes " A Loser" Thanks,

Q: I hold both TOU and VET in a taxable account. I would like to sell both to harvest the tax loss and rebuy after 30 days. I would prefer to keep the investment in the sector until repurchase. Can you suggest an appropriate alternative holding.
Thank you

Q: I own NVDA, FB, BOX, AMZN and GOOG in my son's RESP and he is still in the green. Would you briefly comment on each stock's potential rebound and rate them? Thanks.

Q: EquityClockOct 24th, 8:07 am
US New Home Sales down 8.9% YTD, weakest performance since 2008.

Given that housing is known (or so they say) to be a predictor of how well the economy is doing.....what are your thoughts on the above news? Should we worry or at least be cautious?

Thank you!

Q: I have $20,000 to invest outside of an RRSP/TSFA/RESP. looking at a 3-5 year timeline. Obviously tax is a consideration so would assume a couple of decent Canadian dividend paying stocks would fit the bill. I'm 20 years from retirement. I would look to buy 1/3 positions now and see if the market bottoms before I dive right in.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/insight
D
