Q: MSI is trading around $20, near its 52 week high, and reports on Nov 9. I have owned MSI since it was $10, so I have doubled my investment and collected rich monthly dividends along the way. The company has steadily grown revenues and cash flow at 10% p.a. compounded over the last ten years. As a "human capital" service provider with low capex and high return on invested capital, why does 5i not cover this company? What is your long term outlook for MSI in terms of security and growth of the dividend? What are the chances of a takeover by a large cap competitor like MMC or WLTW?

Q: Hello 5i:
wondering about the huge drop in TGZ today; was it all due to the $65 million equity offering? That seems a bit harsh as the company seems to have been doing well. Can you give me your take please?

Q: What would be your outlook for A&w royalties going forward, In terms of total return ( understanding that this years 30% gain is unlikely to be reproduced). And would you consider these types of royalty stocks to be bond proxies sensitive to interest rate increases?

Q: I'm a late 20s investor looking to augment my company group retirement rrsp (invested in MF's - Index/Mawer) with individual stocks. My goal is to add positions until I'm close to the Balanced Equity portfolio.
At this time, which of the above (or another if there is a better option that I haven't listed) would be a good idea to start with? Thanks in advance.

Q: I have 1/2 of position in STN, and and 1/4 position in WSP. I am down about 2-3% on STN. I am fine with both, but was wondering if I should consolidate to WSP. Two reasons, reduce stocks I own get more concentrated portfolio, and get more significant position in one Engineering company.

Q: Hi, Peter & Co. I am looking for some companies that I might add to my elderly sister's portfolio during the tax-loss selling period. She is looking for some dividends, some growth and reasonable stability. Her portfolio has a lot of cash. She currently owns:
DH
Genworth
Northwest Healthcare
A&W
Brookfield Renewable
High Arctic Energy(long-term position,slight loss)
Canacol Energy (small, profitable position)
Would you please give me 2 or 3 names in your selected sectors that I can monitor for opportune purchases?
With appreciation for your great service.

Q: Savarias results look good. Could I have your comments. Thanks
Q: Questerre had a trading halt on Friday. Why the halt? Does this impact your view going forward? Do you still like as a speculative buy?
Q: As we move into the tax loss selling period, is it not possible (probable?) that DH Corp could take another big hit before year's end? After holding for several years with good initial gains I'm now in the red. Wondering about selling & possibly buying back in January if price action improves... your thoughts? Also not sure what you meant by still an "official" hold for now... sounds like a thinly veiled 'sell'. Many thx for your insights.
Q: What do you think about proposed merger of GE & BHI oil services assets to form a separate company and the $17.50 per share dividend GE will pay BHI shareholders? Any idea on timeline and whether this proposed deal will have any regulatory issues? I can't see any regulatory issues - but, who knows. I was thinking of buying this one as I currently do not own any gas or oil producers - so, surrogate for them.
Q: ECN continues to drop in value. Is it now a strong buying opportunity, or is it just a company that is going down a lot more with tax loss selling. Should I possibly sell now and buy back in a month, just hang on or buy more? Your thoughts - thanks
Q: Could you comment on the recent results of DGC. Much appreciated.
Q: Can I get your take on the earnings report and your thoughts on buying in at these levels for a long term hold ? Thanx Robbie
Q: I purchased CCO yesterday for a long term investment. Does Peter or anyone else have an opinion, short and long term?
Q: WSP: bought in March of this year: has not done much, I think missed last 3 Q EPS, does not seem to have a history of > dividends - so, what do you see going forward - I believe they have done a lot of acquisitions as well which will take a lot of time to show on the P&L. Comments please.
Q: What are your comments on BPY's results and which company would you prefer as a long term hold between BPY, BIP and BEP (or hold all 3).
Q: If you owned DH, would you sell? My concern is that if they cut the dividend, the stock will tank again, should I get out while I'm still up on the stock and move on or is it worth it to stick it out? I am more concerned about the dividend sustainability than capital gains.
