Q: I believe the main reason for the sudden drop in HWO over the past few days is that a stock advisory service, which had been recommending HWO as a buy for the last few years, suddenly issued a SELL recommendation, due to risk of lower oil prices and declining cash flows. The notice came out at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (1PM EST) on Wed, and the stock price dropped immediately on sudden large volume.

Q: In my RRSP for U.S. holdings I own DIA, IWO, IBB and VTI. I'm wondering if VTI is overkill because most of it is covered in the others? I'm thinking of selling it and deploying it into the others. If you agree, how should I deploy my US capital across DIA, IWO and IBB percentage wise? 50%, 25% and 25% or what do you suggest?

In my non registered account I was planning to put my US cash into the Dogs of the Dow, as I'm looking more for stability and dividends with that money. Do you think this is a good approach?

Q: Your response to a recent question asking which of these companies to add to:
"BIP has grown the dividend by 16% and BEP has grown the dividend by 35.5%. We would use history as the guide here and side with BEP.UN."
Consider over the past year BEP.UN share price increased by 7.5% whereas BIP.UN increased by 36.5%. Over 5 years BEP.UN gained 46% but BIP.UN gained 132%. In my history book BIP.UN wins hands down notwithstanding the difference in dividend increase last year.

Q: Hello Peter,
Facebook announced great results;however, the stock hardly moved. Any comments? For gold, would you consider kirkland lake and detour as long term holds in that sector. Also, constellation software after the article in the globe has taken a step back. Is it good time to add more? Thanks very much

Q: Gary's question regarding the border adjustment tax 9BAT) on oil reflected my concern, as well. Presently, Canada ships 3.5 boe and Mexico is at about 800,000 so energy independence seems well down the road. If there is a BAT, some have said gasoline prices in the US will rise proportionately. I don't understand that conclusion. Canada only gets $40/barrel and Mexico $46. They can't raise the price to cover the tax so does that mean US recipients will get less and then raise prices to consumers?
Thanks.

Q: Hello,
My TFSA current composition is:
ATD.B(20%),KXS(30%),GUD(20%),NFI(20%),and YRI(10%)(Thanks 15%UP).
What changes would you make to my TFSA to make it more aggressive, I understand it also means more risk. What would you get rid off in my setup.

Muchas gracias!
