Q: From the information that I have discovered it appears to have much potential and also has a 7.2% dividend yield. What is your opinion on this stock and is this the right time to buy?

Q: I'm looking for a place to park cash and have iniated a small position in the Horizon ETF. I like the idea of floating rate bonds because interest rates seem to be on the rise. Just wondering if there might be similar products that I could investigate. I know about FLOT but would prefer the investment be in Canadian dollars. Thanks in advance for your guidance.
Q: I’ve heard you suggest buying stocks that have momentum rather than the normal axiom of trying to buy low and sell high.
How exactly do you go about this?
I’ve had big losses on CXR, ITC, CRH as I’ve tried to chase momentum.
I’m now in the same position with COV, buying as it went up during a few bad market days, but now I find myself down 30% as those gains quickly disappeared.
How can I use momentum more effectively?

Q: Your answers say its time to sell EFN. Is there concern about the convertible debentures? I'm thinking the fixed income part of the portfolio is supposed to be the safest part, so should probably sell and move on.
Q: Please let us know what you find out about ENB as far as it being involved with master limited partnerships. My quick search tells me Enbridge is a normal corporation rather than an MLP. Enbridge Energy Partners, EEP, is an MLP. My information concerns the U.S. stocks. I don't know if there would be different considerations for Canadian shares of ENB. Thank you for your ongoing information, education, and guidance.
Q: Hi Team,
EFN drop some 25% today, please explain the reason for the big drop. And EFN still worth to hold ?
Thanks and appreciate your great service!

Q: Hi Guys,
I saw your answers to sell EFN common. How do you feel about the preferred shares? Efn is 1 of 10 preferred share I hold.
Thanks for the insight.

Q: Can you comment on Broadcom’s earnings and would you consider this a long term hold?
Q: In my portfolio I selected CLF for a significant amount of the fixed income portion of my accounts (in both RRSP and non reg accounts). A the time (almost 2 years ago) I thought it would be the safest since it is a government bond index. However, am down by almost 6% since purchasing. My priority for fixed income is to not lose capital. Do you have another suggestion? Perhaps GICs make more sense? Are there worries in the market regarding Canadian government debt (i.e considering escalating debt levels at the federal level as well as some provinces - like Ontario and Alberta).
Q: Gentlemen,
With Spotify having it’s I.P.O. on April 03. Is their any way an individual investor like the majority on your site including myself can buy for the issued price? Or is that only a luxury for institutional investors to receive?

Q: Hi All at 5i! What do you think about Spot coffee ? Do you think it has good upside potential for a micro cap? Cheers, Tamara
Q: Good day Ryan, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the latest earnings release. Their fourth quarter and annual net income benefited from a one time recovery of 9.4 million and going forward they benefit from an estimated 3 million annual net income due to lower U.S. corporate tax rate. So if you take away the one time 9.4 mill is the 3 million enough to increase their growth going forward? Will they be able to increase their dividend or pay a special dividend? A couple questions here thanks much AEO

Q: In your reply to Jeff you said that TOY did not quantify exposure to Toy R Us,& yet it said no carryover impact into 2019.In my humble opinion,Toy must know the potential loss.I wonder what is the impact on its share price, which has already dropped from $61.76(new high) to current $54.34.When is a good entry point? Thanks for u usual great services & views.
Q: This group has posted disappointing results of late...what/when are the expected next earrings estimates? And when is it time to review whether these still should still be held? Thanks....
Q: Hi 5iR, This is not a question just a comment on TOY. 5iR I think you need to adjust your thinking on TOY. An increasing number of kids today do not play with toys. They play with their devices. As a grandparent I watch my grandchildren spend hours on their devices, not toys....it drives me nuts...... Since TOY is not in the software business, I would be a seller of TOY not a buyer. Cheers, Chris
Q: your comments on their earnings... please

Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF)
Q: Hi,
I am wanting exposure to US financials and I am wondering if there is an ETF in Canada that tracks XLF. Of the three listed names could you give me your opinion on how they rank. XLF is one that has Berkshire stock, which I would like some exposure to.
Thanks,
Gwen
