Q: Good morning

I am thinking of initiating a position in juniper nnetworks.The earnings estimates have been rising and the stock has been behaving very well technically.
Can you give me your opinion on the company regarding future growth and how does the balance sheet look (debt levels etc.)
Is it a good time to make an investment in this company?Are there other companies you prefer in this sector?

Q: Hello much of our exposure to US is through etf's in Canada. However we do hold some stocks directly and would like to buy Visa. Do you see any significant risk to a rally in the US dollar over the next couple of years. It is just that Us $$s are so expensive presently. Thank you

Q: Good morning folks,
Would you be able to give the pro,s and cons of buying BEI.UN at this time? I know interst rates possibly could start drifting up soon but from what I can find out they have a six percent yield with a sixty percent payout ratio ,also have come down a long way from their highs. The "Alberta" influence could last a while longer but I don't think we'll be in the tank forever .

Q: Recently someone I know has been talking about this company and I would like your opinion. They just sold their ownership of intellectual property rights of "PraxisLab" to Familiprix inc. for a cash consideration of $2,000,000. Also I heard that Telus has been in communication with the company with some sort of deal. I am not sure if the Telus deal is based on fact. The value at 2.5 cents seems cheap but granted this is only for high risk players. Thanks for your service.

Q: This question is about the merits of moving big time losers from a RIF to a TFSA - assuming there is still a future for these losers .... which are AVO and ACQ. These are far and away the biggest dollar losses in my RIF and are down 50-60%.

If these guys are close to being in the same category as WIN which I did just dump, perhaps I should move on.

BUT - I am OK with holding on if you so advise.

And would also appreciate your point of view on the move to a TFSA with the stocks at these low prices. I am aware that I will still have to pay the tax on this withdrawal, so would likely wait until the New Year.

Q: H Peter,

I've owned 2 funds for near a decade and both are down approx 50%. One is Sprott Canadian Equity and the other is AGF PRECIOUS METALS FUND (333)

I've been patient and because I know that you know more about these than I do, I am asking you what would you do if you held both of these funds. Would you hold or sell?

Q: I just got the company's third quarter report. I am very concerned. While revenue has risen YOY, the expenses have also risen dramatically. The net loss has almost doubled. Share dilution has risen from 92 to 134 million.

They do not appear to have a solution to customers using their smartphone to buy services vs using GXI onboard.

I own the stock and I now have no faith in this company.

What is your view?

Q: I am down about 20% on CPD which I bought primarily to stabilize my diversified portfolio. It comprises about 3.5% of my portfolio so it has not been a particularly good stabilizer. I understand how the rate reset preferred shares held in the ETF have depressed its value, but I find it hard to predict what is likely to happen over the next few years. Any predictions? I have been thinking of slowly reducing the amount that I hold and switching into a bond ETF (though even CBO and HFR have been slowly declining). Your sage advice would be appreciated.

Q: Could you recommend a company that is addressing the issue of moving the medical field to electronic storage. I here that Canadian doctors are behind the times in record keeping and continue to use paper files as I see in my own doctor's office. A blog mentioned Telus is involved in this space but not sure if that's true.

Q: I am looking for some income products to diversify my portfolio. Royal Bank offers what they call Managed Payout Solution products, symbols RBF581, RBF582 and RBF578. While the yield is high for each, the MERs are very high. Also, it is not clear that there are no other hidden fees such as trailers, or front or rear end loading. I would appreciate your opinion of these products.

Q: Hello Team 5i

I have an idea. Please tell me if this makes sense to you. I am down significantly in 5 stocks, CXI(-40%), AVO(-53%), BDI(-74%), TOG(-53%) and TOU(-54%). My plan is to sell these in my RRSP as I will have to one day pay tax on them in the future. Buy them back in my TFSA(and my husbands depending on the limit for 2016). My hope is that the stocks will appreciate in my TFSA tax free. Of these 5 stocks is there one or two you would be extra cautious on. Your thoughts. Thank you

Q: I am interested in your views on CALM. I see the last question came in 2012 and the stock has tripled since.
Seems to be a very stable business (with a bit of a volatile stock)
