Q: Having received the above funds shares from a bequest, I am contemplating on selling and replacing the above funds for ETF's which would be complimentary with diversification, possibly reducing fees and improve performance.

Q: Hi group need some help on gold - i am holding 20 % of my portfolio in gold and silver stocks. If i listen to the experts they mostly say hold gold/silver will do well over the long term Do you agree or should i scale back to lessen the risk of further downside. Presently i am down 15% on the sector overall - see below for holdings do you recommend scaling back or holding the course or something in the middle appreciate your views Thanks

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I'm a 63 year old conservative investor and I've held CNQ from 2010 where I bought it at $34.00 where it's been a roller coaster since then and as you know it dropped to about $12,00 in March. I've held it for the dividend and since it's back to where I first bought it in my unregistered account I was thinking of selling it and transferring it to my TFSA and not taking any loss. How much upside do you see it having from here and do you think it's still worth holding or would you invest the money elsewhere, if so what is a good replacement for it. Q: My US holdings are COST, VEEV, ABBV, NVDA, U, PLTR, GOOG, V, BABA and would like to add 2-3 more US stocks to my US dollar portfolio. Could you please make some suggestions that would compliment the above.

Q: I do not follow the Canadian market at all, relying only on 5i model portfolios. I have done VERY badly on my TFSA held at a Canadian bank-owned broker ( iTRADE). I would now prefer to end the misery and hold only US- and European listed scurities in my TFSA. These are markets that I am familiar with. This broker advises it will not transfer any inter-listed securities from the Canadian side to the US side. (It would only transfer other US securities). This would force me to liquidate inter-listed securities, then buy US securities. I thought of withdrawing the entire Canadian $ proceeds, with the intent to reinstate next year the full amount withdrawn but in US$ . Question: do you know what exchange rate I should use to calculate the amount in US$ that I may deposit into the TFSA next year? Would the taxing authorities accept rates posted by the Bank of Canada or Bank of England? Any traps I should be aware of (if you know)?
