Q: I bought $10,000 of random stocks 2 years ago that have gone down 95% (ACB, NVCN, HVT, HEXO, LTV). The only reason I have not cut my losses yet is because they are all in my TFSA so I don’t want to lose that $9,500 of contribution room when I do sell the stocks. If you do recommend I sell them all anyways, which high growth potential stocks would you recommend for TFSA vs non-registered accounts? I know you can’t give personalized advice but hypothetically, how would you immediately invest $100,000 into a TFSA with the rest of the funds invested in a non-registered account that includes the following: high growth potential, all equities, and is the most tax efficient way to gain the Canadian and International market? I currently use my full RRSP contribution room for ITOT so I have enough US market in my growth portfolio.

Q: At BMO Investorline you need the help of an agent to journal DLR from Can to US. With wait times of well over an hour this can be quite frustrating. It took me 2 weeks to complete this transaction and exposed me to currency risk I didn't expect. Keep this in mind if you are considering this transaction and your broker is not answering the phones.

Q: It looks like CSU has paid a dividend of "topicus.com inc svs" shares - at least they've popped up in my brokerage account. Would you please fill me in on what has happened.

I have owned ADW.A since Jan 2017 at a purchase price of$10.50, It is now trading around $10.40.
How long should a person sit with an investment that does very little, especially a small cap which is supposed to have a little better growth.
Any thoughts on ADW.A would help.

What would the recommended holding time be? so far my general mistake has been to give up on small cap stocks too early during periods of lull..AT is a good example I quit too early and missed a 10 fold increase and now I am back in..TSLA is another great miss for me not a small cap though.. Q: My broker allows when buying or selling a stock to have it good for the day or to specify a good through date, like a week from when the order is placed. Me, I hesitate to specify a good through date as the price might dramatically change one way or the other and I would rather re-enter the order the next day,
Is there a reason(s) to change my view?

Q: Hello 5i,
Regarding the questions on Norbert's Gambit. I would like to suggest that since there is already a Forum thread on N.G., if 5i could add some trusted links to resources on this Forum and then direct members there, it would provide a permanent "one-stop" shop for answers and help on this process.
In doing an on-line search I came across an article by Dan Bortoluzzi (spelling?) and Justin Bender that walks you through the process in fairly good detail and I have subsequently used it several times with the only issues being from mistakes I have made, not from the resource itself. Norbert's Gambit is well recognized by most brokers, and mine (RBC D.I.), allows it although perhaps not all do. Should members need any help, I am sure there are many other members out there who could be of some help for questions posted on the Forum - which I encourage more members to use. It is still very disappointing to see this great service not more fully utilized. The Forums are "ours" and will only be as good as we make them.

Q: I am a great fan of brookfield companies. I own BEP.un (which I have to trim because it is reaching a totally artificial maximum I go by especially since I also own NPI and AQN) BAM.A and BPY.UN. I plan to sell the BPY.UN (from my RRSP)now because I think even with an offer increase, there is little upside left. I will purchase more BAM.A but I am also considering BIP.UN more or less as a replacement for BPY but it seems to be spiralling down, Thoughts on BIP.UN? (I like the .UN version because I sell covered calls and its hard to do with BIPC)
