Q: Is this a good entry point into Airbnb? I don't know much about the company except that I've been a customer. How is it that they rent out other people's properties and still not make money? I don't get how these companies continue to operate without a profit -- can you help explain how the current valuations are justified?

Q: I currently own Fair Isaac (FICO) and it has done very well the past few years. Recently the stock has been dropping. I'm assuming it's based on the current news. Apparently the US banks are using the Fico credit score less and are starting to use their own credit score system. Also congress is proposing to create their own credit score system. All this means that there could be less business for Fico going forward. Should I hold or starting trimming my position in Fico?
Thanks
Thanks

Q: Any ideas why it jumped so much in the last few days? Do you have any good website for this kind of information (ie reliable speculation / gossip) besides google search and yahoo finance individual stock forums? I am a bit wary to see it jump so quickly on no news. I regretted not selling back when the stock price was in the 30s and dont want to make the same mistake again. If it were you, is this stock a sell or hold?

Q: I'm looking to start/add to two positions in a well diversified taxable account. The above list of stocks, from a review of the questions, are some of your current favourites. Would you please add two additional names to the above list that I have not listed and then provide me with your current ranking of the stocks for investment purposes in the next week or two.
Thanks,

Q: Hi 5i,
I enjoyed your article on Ron in the FP and his financial practices. My practice as well is to hold only equities and no bonds. Like Ron, I have an indexed DB pension plan, which serves as my fixed income. Are you comfortable with an all equity portfolio for an investor in these circumstances?
Thanks again
Dave

Q: Hello. I am planning on investing in education for our first grandchild. As our children were near graduating high school when RESPs were introduced I am not well versed in the pros and cons. I was recently told that there is a lot more cost than allowable deductions on income tax.
Question: if the parents of our grandchild have lots of room in their TFSAs, would it make more sense to save for education using the TFSA instead of RESPs? The rationale is that it is non taxable when it taken out for education in the future as compared to taxable even though there is an initial 20% grant from the government with an RESP. And perhaps making RESP contributions at child's older age, a few years prior to university age. Thank you.

Q: Hi, My questions is about the best way to hedge the current market and economy. I have a large portion of my money in the stock market, and I feel things are becoming over extended. I've thought about putting some money in the VIX, however I'm not sure if that's the best way to play a downturn. I'd appreciate if you could give me your opinion on the best way to hedge, in case of a heavy downturn in the market/economy. Thanks a lot.

Q: I'd like your opinion in regard to which of the above would be the best investment over the next five years? Perhaps you could rank them from highest to lowest in your opinion. I've included BIP because of their likely acquistion of IPL and the broad level of infrastructure that they represent. With thanks, Don

Q: Hello Peter
I sold recently almost 50% of my US stocks:ADBE,AMZN,TEAM,NFLX,MA & MSFT from my unregstr. acct. and I do not want to keep cash and I do not want to buy US stocks.
Please provide me with idea of 5 Canadian stocks that are reasonably safe and be kept for 2 to 3 years, or 2 Canadian stocks very safe with little growth.

Q: Do you know of an ETF that specializes in industrial REITs? I think warehousing and distribution centres will continue to be a growth business. Would you agree?
Thank you.
