Q: Hi,
Comparing Telus, BCE and Rogers to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile over the last year, the US companies seem to be outperforming (granted this is a short timeframe and others in the US top five: Comcast and Charter Communications aren't doing well either).
I was wondering if you have any thoughts about why the top three in the US are doing so much better lately than the top three in Canada. (Take credits as needed please.)
Thank you, Michael

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I have been a loyal holder of this stock for years and of course am down a ton. I do realize the whole sector is down...
Please give me your assessment going forward. Is there any hope for this company ...any reason at all to be patient? Thanks...your assessments are always a big help!

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
We need to raise some cash in our non-registered account. Please rank in order of which stock/ETF to sell a partial position first: BYD, CNR, IHI, and TRI . All four of these holdings have done very well, thanks to the continued good recommendations from 5i.

Q: I don’t have any REIT exposure at the moment and am looking at DIR.UN. Although the yield is good and revenue is growing fast, it doesn’t appear to have a great track record on growing either earnings or the distribution. Forecast EPS is expected to rise significantly from current levels, however the ’24 and ’25 forecasts are still only about 1/3 of what was earned in 2021/22. The payout appears to have not increased since 2013(!) What needs to change for this REIT to restore earnings to past levels and to grow the distribution? Recent high rates I expect were/are part of the problem but likely are not the entire story.
Q: My grandson's TFSA has done very well, in large part due to excellent advice/info from 5i Research. He now needs to raise some cash to make a down-payment. Of the following stocks (ordered by size, i.e. NVDA is his biggest holding and LMN is smallest), which would you be most inclined to sell, given he is in his mid-20s and has a growth focus? Top 5-7 sell candidates would be sufficient.
Thanks again for the excellent service!

Q: Hi, Oil is steadily trading above $80 and NG is up 75%, from its bottom recently. Summer driving season seems to have already started strong. Both CNQ and SU are still trading, close to their recent lows. Why have Oil/Gas equities failed to respond ?
Any thoughts or concerns ?
Thanks

I’m looking for a preferred for a small portion of my portfolio. These BEP preferreds are floating rate variety. Can you tell me how they will behave with the current interest rate forecast and which one to buy?
Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i, been watching TMO for a bit, any news as to why it's off 2.5% today? Does it have to do with markets view on Olink purchase? What are the next few years forecast for growth and what would be a good entry point? Thx
Q: Your take on the insider purchase?
Should be a good thing.

Q: Payfare is currently under a CTO as (quoted from their press release):
"The delay in the Annual Filings is due solely to the delay in receiving the System and Organization Controls (" SOC 1") auditor's report from its material vendor (the " Vendor ") which is required in order for the Company's independent auditors to complete their required audit procedures to issue their opinion"
How much of a concern or potential red flag do you view this to be?
Thanks

Q: Hello. I used to rely on a Canadian stock total return calculator available on the Canadian stock channel. It allowed me to calculate the returns for Canadian stocks from the 1990s up to the present day. This tool was incredibly useful and helpful. However, recently, the site has become completely blank, and the calculator is no longer accessible. Do you know the reason behind this sudden change? Additionally, if you’re aware of any other platforms where I can find a similar stock return calculator, I’d greatly appreciate your insights! Thanks
Q: Where can I find info on the June 7 th debt offering?
