Q: Gold dropped about 1.5% today, and many gold and silver stocks are down 6% to 10%. I have a high weighting in this area because these stocks have been "moving up".

What do you anticipate over the next few days for this sector? Possibly a rebound? Or might they continue to drop more?

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Q: Could you provide your views on Cal-Maine Foods. What are its future growth prospects? Is it a hold or sell at this price? Could you recommend something else in the same sector.
Thanks

Q: In your recent update to your list of top ten USA stocks for an option writing strategy I notice that CALM ( Cal-Maine Foods), which was on your list from the beginning, was dropped. Was that intentional? And if so, could you please provide the rationale for this as well as your current thoughts on the company? Thanks.

Q: Hi guys
I should have added one of these about 2 years ago but unfortunately did not. Looking at their trading price today, and as a long term hold for at least 5 years which stock would you buy today. Looking at about a 4% weight in a diversified portfolio.

Q: My question is in regards to my TFSA. I am adding new money to top up this account to about $45k. Currently I have only one holding($12k) in this account which is HPF.un, Energy Leaders Plus Income. My intention was to mirror some of the names in your growth portfolio. Do you see any potential in keeping HPF.un or should I sell it and re deploy those proceeds as well.
Thank you

Q: Please comment on this preferred share issued by RBC. It is one of the new nvcc preferreds. It is currently trading at a premium to its par value at a current yield of 5.18%. Is this preferred a better choice to deal with changing interest rates as compared to previous types of preferred shares? Other than the fact that the bank can convert the preferred to common shares if the bank has financial problems, what are the risks? Thank you

Q: I have owned these two companies for a couple of years as part of a well diversified portfolio - both geographic and by industry. Financials in the US have been relatively flat for nearly a decade and I am wondering if there is a case to be made for owning US financials when Canadian financials have done better and pay a nice dividend. I am comfortable that these two stocks are near the top of the class so it is not the companies that I question. Would you deem it reasonable to hold only Canadian financials at this time and to invest the US dollars in other areas?

Appreciate your insight.
