Q: I wonder if you can give your 5 best recommendations at this time for investment in TFSA or RESP for long term hold, irrespective of sector or balance. I have greatly benefited from being a 5Iresearch subscriber for the last few years. Thank you for the great service.

Q: Hi Guys
Just thinking with the recent cyber attacks on the US election, as well as on our own Hydro grid, if this will be a concern for the next US administration, and should be a concern for our "picture Opt" guy in Ottawa.
What would be 5I opinion on this, and if it is a concern, would you consider panw to be in a good place on this, or are there any other including Canadian listed companies.
Thanks in advance and Cheers for 2017

Q: Market reaction on the previous earnings report for Aecon, AutoCanada and Brookfield Asset Management brought me unpleasant surprises and the price of stocks substantially dropped. This makes me nervous as we approach the new earnings season. My questions are:
1. Would you recommend holding the above listed stocks or perhaps selling some of them?
2. In general, shouldn't it be safer to sell all stocks a week or two before earnings, an buy them again later?

Q: In the REIT sector I currently own ZRE & XRE. I am moving my REITS to my RRSP due to the tax implications ( ie no Dividend Tax Credit ). 1)
1) What are you favourite investments in this sector ?
2) Do you see a need to own individual REITS as opposed to an ETF?
Thank you.
Paul

Q: The above lists my oil and gas investments. In addition I have drilling, service companies, and pipelines also associated with oil and gas. I feel that I have too many companies to easily follow and would like some recommendations. Based on your current thoughts can you recommend which I should sell and which I should buy more of and why. Also if there is company that I have not listed which you think is a better fit please consider including that in your recommendations. Based on my history, I usually keep an investment for a minimum of 5 years and some of the above I have had for at least 15 years. Also, if you believe that later in the year may be a better time to consider the trades I am contemplating will you please mention that as well. Thank you very much. I highly value your opinion.

Q: I need help with my TFSA. I should be at $51,000 as I added this year's amount. I am sitting at $39,500 with the following stocks - FCF, HCG, NA and STB. Could you make any recommendations to help this account get back on it's feet? To other investors, my biggest loss was from ABX, where I lost $8000. Be careful with Gold products.

Q: Good Afternoon 5i
Price action definitely heading back up in last few trading days. Momentum/Volume sharply again today. New feasibility study expected in January with increased resource base considered. Any comments on increased SP and Volume? 2017 looks like a year of strong possibilities. What should I look for in assessing NR feasibility study when it is releasing.
Thanks as always for your valued comments.
