Q: Good evening 5i Team,

Can you please give me your current assessment of Profound Medical?

I've held this stock for about five years. It peaked in 2021 at just over $35, and with the recent drop (due to yet another financing), it's down to about $10.66. I've listened to each earnings call, and it's been the same message for years now that widespread adoption of their non-surgical MRI guided prostate cancer/BPH treatment is just around the corner.

Their "First-time CPT code reimbursement for TULSA" is to be effective January 1, 2025, and they recently partnered with Siemens in a co-sales/marketing deal.

Is more patience (along with patients) warranted here, or is it more likely time to move on? Thanks, Brad

Q: What is your opinion of the Motley Fool 100 index ETF ticker TMFC ? It looks like they just copied QQQ holdings/weightings with a few minor adjustments.

Q: I have another question about the proposed deal to buy part of Gear and spin out the rest into a new company. Dave in his question on december 5th made it sound that us existing share holder will get 61 cents per share and 1 for 3 shares in the new company. The way I read the press release on the Gear website it is 61 cents or 1 for 3 shares in the new company. I hope Dave is right because then the current value of Gear shares is much greater. How do you read it? Is it and or or? Also what happens if the mail strike is prolonged and we don't get this circular in the mail. My email is full of so much junk that I could easily miss an email from Gear Energy and not vote. I think I am not the only one who would miss it. Also I know how to go to sedar's clunky website and look for stuff but everyone might not know/or want to do that. It seems a little fishy/stinky that this is being presented during a mail strike and they want to finalize this quickly (Jan or Feb). If Cenovous is the buyer then they will be able to take advantage of all the tax pools that Gear accumulated from their years of losses. If so they can pay more than $110 million for 3500ish BOE of production. Heck that is only a little over $30,000 per flowing barrel plus the benefit of using the tax pools. I understand why the purchaser wants this to go through quickly!!!!

Q: What are your thoughts on DHR as a long term play in the healthcare space? Stock seems to be unloved for the past couple of years after fantastic long term performance. It's spin off of Veralto created value but wondering what is the next catalyst for this stock / company?

It seems punished due to concerns on China but the company reinstated its buy back program last quarter and I would assume that since the stock is even lower they are seeing value and purchasing shares.

Is this a good position to continue holding and even adding at today's prices?

Q: Greetings 5i team,
For my 2025 TFSA contribution, I will be adding to existing holdings as listed above. In what order might a person add to these three companies. I note the 6% drop in EQB today.
Thank you very much as always
