Q: Hello. What can you tell me about this company and its mining assets? Where are its mines and do they have good grades?

Any big insider positions?

Would you buy the stock and if so, why?

Thanks!

5i Research Answer:

Market cap is $190M after a 136% gain this year. Insiders own 5%. Kootenay Silver (KTN) is a Mexico‑focused silver exploration play with a flagship high‑grade silver resource at Columba, meaningful leverage to silver prices, and typical junior‑explorer risks around dilution and no current cash flow. The company’s main efforts are in the Sierra Madre region, with multiple projects in Sonora and Chihuahua including Columba, La Cigarra, Promontorio, and La Negra.Columba in Chihuahua is the flagship, currently hosting an inferred resource of about 54.1 million ounces of silver at roughly 284 g/t, with ongoing drilling to expand the vein system. La Cigarra, Promontorio, and La Negra provide additional ounces and optionality, but current market narrative and drilling capital are concentrated on building Columba into a larger camp‑scale silver system. The company has no revenue and has been funded via equity issues. Columba's maiden resource estimate from June 2025 details 5.92 million tonnes at 284 g/t silver (using a 150 g/t Ag cut-off), containing 54.1 million ounces of silver plus lead and zinc credits. These are very high grades but need to be confirmed with more in-fill drilling.
