Q: Hello Team, Can I get your thoughts on this company and does it look like this is something worthwhile accumulating. The metrics do not look bad except the debt to equity seems high to me. Its revenue and ebitda have been increasing over the last five yrs. It's paying a small dividend, PE is about 14, roe is about 28, price to cash flow seems a little high. It seems to be gaining market share and getting more revenue streams. Your thoughts please on this company for long term investment 5yr+

Q: I know you have expressed your own frustartions with this stock. Me too! So -

Decision time for me: -27% (-22% factoring in the dividend).
With WIN very near its 52 week low, do you see any upside catalyst that might generate a significant pop (10% or more) that would justify buying more. The charts suggest that it is very oversold - therefore a tempting buy.
Or would you recommend selling WIN and investing elsewhere; and if so do you have a strong recommendation?

Q: The company plans to split into separate companies. Would you buy the stock?
It looks like they are gaining traction. They have been trading in a very tight range.

Q: Is there any news on SYZ to account for it's recent poor performance? Seems that there is absolutely no interest in the stock. Your assessment would be appreciated.

Q: Hi all,
ISSI a small us tech company is taken over by a consortium. ISSI Enters Into A Definitive Merger Agreement To Be Acquired By Consortium For $19.25 Per Share

Following the announcement I received roughly 15 email alerts of law firms launching investigations of the deal. This seems to confirm the feeling I have - 20% premium over Wednesday price isn't much.

Now what to do? I worry if I hold and the deal collapse investors will punish the stock due management not working in shareholders best interest. Any chance of better deal in this case? Thanks

Q: Hi,

I have been holding ET for quite sometime now. What I have observed that it starts rising before the earnings release and goes upto around 18.5 and then after the earnings it falls back below 17 dollars and stays there for quite some time. Would you suggest I replace it with another stock as except for dividend it seems to be a dead stock. Which stock would you recommend as its replacement.

Q: I am still deliberating on which US tech stock to buy with some recently released funds (2.5% of portfolio). I have been passively following all those stocks listed below and recognize that we may be looking at apples and oranges, but I am assuming that if the Tech sector is improving, they should all benefit. Would you please give your ratings on the following stocks and prime reason for your preference:
Arm Holdings PLC ARMH.US
Adobe Systems ADBE.US
Apple Inc. AAPL.US
Cisco Systems CSCO.US
SanDisk Corp SNDK.US
Seagate Tech. STX.US
Western Digital WDC.US

Thanks for your help.

Q: Hi Peter & Team,

Nov 4 2014 saw SUM miss on revenues & earnings resulting in an immediate 19% drop in share value. It appeared to bottom out on Jan 21 @ $6.60 26% below it's high back in Nov prior to the last report.

Since then it has slowly started to regain some momentum on sporadic trading which has increased over the past couple of days. It is being covered by a number of analysts who for the most part are fairly bullish on expectations with an average target price of $8.94.

On Dec 1st you said "The most recent quarter was not the greatest and concern over future growth has arisen. We would not consider the valuation as cheap but some decent growth is expected."

Your advice was to not rush in and to wait and see what happens with the next quarter.

Right now I am slightly ahead with SUM scheduled to report March 18.

I was wondering if you could tell us what the street expects, whether you would consider SUM a Sell/Hold/Buy, and what your advice for me would be moving forward. My weighting is 3.6%.

Thanks for all you do

Gord

Q: Hello Peter & Team

CDV up 3+% today and up 10% over the past 10 days with a substantial increase in volume yesterday & today.

Street appears to be somewhat bullish with 60% calling it a buy and 40% saying hold.

Is there a reason you can see for the recent strength? I can't find any insider trading info... can you?

They report March 9th - what should we expect?

Thanks for all you do

Gord
