Q: vff, village farm.
I have this for a long time, it seems to be moving at last. what is you opinion. Is it a value stock? Is it at a good selling point. Which other company you would put that money, for growth more than for income.
Q: I have added these 3 companies to my TFSA because I believe they are all capable of a double in the next year. They are not part of your growth portfolio. Can you a) rank their potential, b) general comments on them and c) what would make them eligible for a small position in your growth portfolio? Thanks, love your service and just added the ETF Newsletter to my reading.
Q: SVI is currently at $1.69 on the TSX Venture Exchange. Analysts high target price is $1.70. Current average buy recommendation is 1.25. However, the Parabolic SAR is at 1.74 and falling; MACD (0.04) is at the same level as the Signal and falling; the Histogram is at -0.003 and falling; the Price ROC is at 2.42% and falling; and the RSI is at 60.30 and holding. It made a profit of +0.01 in its last quater' it pays a dividend of 0.592%. Market Cap is $493.286 million. What is meant by a negative Beta (i.e. -0.415242?)
What has been driving the stock up since March of 2016 (i.e. 0.78 cents to $1.69; x2.2 approx.)?
Is this stock worth buying in a pull back?
Many thanks for this.
Q: Watched Brent Cook on BNN yesterday and he thinks junior explorers are the place to be in the coming year. I don't have anywhere near the expertise to pick my own and most ETF's and the like focus on producers. Do you know of a closed end fund or ETF that is slanted to the explorers. Thanks
I have owned this stock for years and I think I am emotionally involved with it as I am reluctant to sell it. I do like the concept of airborne surveys but there are over 53 million shares outstanding. This of course is in my risk portfolio. I am trying to make the decision to sell and thinking of replacing it with ITC or PHO. Need your assisstance to convince me to sell and which of the two would you replace it with?
Q: Do you know what is going on with Pounce Technologies? Ever since they took over Slyce POI.H has been halted. TD doesn't have any info.
Thanks Colette
Q: I read your earlier comments about Geodrill, but am perplexed about today. They announced great results and the stock was selling off. Have I missed something?
Q: I own all three. Would like your current opinion as which if any you would add to. Bus has been a top pick lately on bnn. Referred as a minature nfi.Hnl gave market update and sounds encouraging. Your thoughts. Thanks
Q: I am guessing that you like this one for earnings and value ... It has indeed turned around .
Is it a value trap , or do you think it is ripe for investing ?... or what would you be looking for before jumping in ?
I would like add a high risk/high reward micro cap stock to my portfolio, and would not be crushed at all if I lose a good chunk of my investment should the stock end up tanking.
All 3 of these stocks have had great runs, but I'm leaning toward rolling the dice on FLY. BUS seems the riskiest to me given the huge influx of orders and lack of a lengthy track record of being in business. FTG seems the least risky, but not sure if its growth rate would be comparable to the other 2 companies.
Which of these 3 do you think has the best growth potential for a long term hold? And what other speculative micro cap high growth names do you like right now?
Also, generally speaking, over a similar time frame (say 5 or 10 years) do you think it is easier for a micro cap company to increase its share price from $0.25 cents a share to $0.50 cents a share, vs. a larger company's ability to increase its share price from $25 to $50 a share?
Final question is what are the key metrics you guys look at when trying to evaluate micro caps that often aren't quite profitable yet?
(I understand if you dock me for a few questions here - its all good!)
