Q: What is your opinion on SRU ?, valuation , yield and other metrics seem similar to REI.UN , which I own enough already. Is SRU management of quality ?, they seem to invest in secondary markets (mid and small cities malls ) and have Walmart as one of their main tenants , what risks are in owning it that are not in Riocan.
Q: I have a position in cash.un with a modest gain. Would you switch to Sia for a better yield and more growth? Why or why not? Thanx.
Q: Would these two companies in the real estate sector be suitable for 1 to 3 year hold for income given its current valuations?
Thx
Thx
Q: Dir.un has continued to dip below the issue of share sale-is this a good buy in or a dissatisfaction with share issue
Q: Would you why REI.UN has lost 4.5% in the last 3 days after attaining a 52 week high on Dec 11. Thanks … Cal
Q: I am a recently retired income investor with a diversified portfolio that includes 14 Reits totaling about 15% of my portfolio. While they have done well over the last couple of years (especially in the last 6 months), they have been declining in unison recently. Do you think that this is the start of a rotation away from REITS and into more growth stocks, or simply some short term profit taking? How do you feel about REITS overall as an income strategy?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Is now a good time to buy NWH.UN?
Q: Wednesday and yesterday (Thursday) there was a clear price drop on most of REITS, there were no specific news in each of them, what was the reason ?, is there a connection with approving the USMCA agreement ? or something else ? , thanks
Q: Wondering if you have any insight into this IPO- its a PP and fairly small.
Any background appreciated.

Q: Is there a particular reason why REITs are being hammered today? The fed left interest rates unchanged (as was expected) and long term bond rates dropped. Shouldn't that be good for REITs? Utilities and Telcos don't seem to be getting hit remotely as hard.
Q: Hello
Reits took it on the chin today. I know the FED standed pat on any further cuts to interest rates. Can you explain why you think the Reit index on the TSX dropped? I would have thought the news would have been baked in...

Q: Yesterday reits in Canada took a dive, US reits appeared up?
If this was market driven why did the Can US reit sectors diverge?
DIR.UN took a deeper than usual dip, and many Can reits were down 2-3%
Your thoughts please
Thanks for all your great work

Q: Hi 5i, Could I please have your analysis of the bought deal and associated announcements from NWH.
Also, do you expect to see more selling from the primary shareholder over the next few years?
Thanks and Happy Holidays to all!

Q: Hi Folks,
I'm seeking any insight you might be able to provide me with regarding the probable long term viability of BTB's current dividend. In answer to a prior question, a fellow 5i subscriber submitted, you indicated that you would be more comfortable with BTB's dividend if the payout ratio were to drop below 90%. Do you know if it may have now dropped to or below that level and if so, do you suspect that the very generous 8.37% yield the company pays may be "safe" for the foreseeable future?
Lastly, is this a firm you might consider investing up to 5% of your assets in, if you were 62 years of age and on the cusp of retiring? By the way, I suspect that I will require a sustainable yield of 6%, that will at least keep pace with inflation over the next 5 years, in order to be able to retire before I reach 65.
Thank you!

Q: Can you please provide your comments on Genworth MI Canada.
They have declared and paid special dividends on three separate occasions in 2019. Are payments of special dividends something we can look forward to going forward?

Q: Curious about your thoughts on MKP:CA as an income stock, it boasts a decent yield, but trading at a 52-week high right now. Been paying a decent dividend for along time now, but only has a "Sell" rating by one analyst and concerns over sustainability.
