Q: I would like to invest a portion of my RRSP funds in the balanced portfolio I've seen here. I have a 15-year time span until I'd possibly need to begin relying on these funds. I understand that we are all in unique circumstances and that you don't wish to provide specific advice but could you give me some overall guidance on how one should be integrating the portfolio into an investment account? More specifically, should I purchase a position in all stocks at the same time or slowly adding one stock at a half/ full position per month or if they seem to be retracting in price. I thought of adding a new holding on a regular basis but I was concerned that I would not have the complete industry exposure until all were purchased. Is there a more prudent way of doing things in your experience. Thanks in advance.

Q: Is it possible that the pending issuance of the subscription receipts coincides with the large increase in shares shorted? Seems like some games are being played here.
Thx

Q: The Globe reported a big increase in GSY short interest today. Do you think that holders of the sub receipts are shorting as a tactical move, knowing they can cover when the sub receipts convert to shares? You often recommend GSY so I assume you would be OK buying into this (temporary) price decline.

Q: On each of your 3 portfolio pages you have a section for "Annualized Returns" . Could you define and explain how they are calculated - I am stumped as to how to do this calculation for my own results.

Q: The management team has not changed, the company strategy has not changed and the company still has net cash to buy more POS companies to continue with their acquisition strategy. The only thing that has changed is people’s perception on what price they will pay for the price of owing LSPD shares. Am I missing anything?

Q: I was surprised at the price surge immediately after it announced it files SEC registration statement. Would that be a dilution of earning ?
Q: Magna has doubled in the last year and is at an all time high. I keep reading on this site that Mg is cheap with good upside. I am waiting for a pull back, but the stock keeps steadily climbing. Do you think another double is doable within the next 5 years and if so could you provide some data points to support this contention. Thank you
Q: I know you guys like this stock, but two high volume days down has me wondering.

Q: Hello,
I have cash in my RRSP to buy an initial position in one of these companies. Growth focus, with a chance to double the share price in a 5-year timeline approx. Morningstar rates both as "undervalued".
On TOI, on April 1st you mentioned two funds have recently bought-in (Fidelity and Akre). TOI has now run up 20% in the last 3 weeks, ahead of the May 5 call and their first reporting as a public co. It feels like the smart money knows there is good performance coming on TOI, near-term and further out, with its parent company providing support. If you were picking just one of these...

Q: Can you explain a subscription receipt at $122.45. Does it mean the buyers get shares at that price? Now that the receipts closed, GSY went up to $150. Why? And will it just go right back down?
Thanks for explanation.
Thanks for explanation.

Q: Hi, I noticed there are no REITs or real estate holdings in your model portfolios. Please comment on this.
Thanks - Jeff.

Q: Can you comment on news that 3 more very senior management staff are leaving the company. Anything to be concerned with here? The market got quite jittery over the news today (Wednesday) and SHOP was down quite a bit.
