Q: Lately the worlds central banks have been buying ton's of gold. At the same time the price of gold has been moving very slow compared to the buying. Are the central banks buying paper gold or are they actually taking delivery of physical. If they are taking delivery of physical where are they getting it from as it seems to be way more than mine supply and the you tubes show massive buying at the coin shops in the US.

In your April 19, 2022 answer regarding Genm you said that “if all approvals are given the stock should get re-rated higher once (when/if) this risk is removed “.
1) Has the risk been removed?
2) What do you think of todays’ share price and can you see it going higher?
3) Do you have any other current info on Genm?

Q: Hi 5i,

Longtime suffering- and dollar-cost-average-down holder of Goldmoney (since 2018). The business model ought perform nicely in a market that increasingly embraces gold as an investment/inflation hedge.

So, the questions are: (i) when do figure XAU will get to join the gold party? (ii) has XAU's attractiveness as a handsome takeover target by one of the Big 6 increased since last you commented (~2021)?

Q: I hold YRI in my TFSA a/c and it has done well. It is now to be acquired by major Gold co. offering some cash and fractions of shares. I find it a problem to carry a few shares here and there. I am thinking of selling YRI and buying B2B to maintain my position in gold. Please advise if there are junior gold co. better than B2B.

Q: 5i has commented positively regarding Lundin Mining in the past noting its strong balance sheet, valuation, and healthy dividend. On March 27, Lundin Mining announced that it has entered into a binding purchase agreement with JX Nippon Mining & Metals to acquire 51% of the issued and outstanding equity of SCM Minera Lumina Copper Chile. Mr. Market seems to love the deal if today's trading is any indication. Is 5i similarly enthusiastic about the deal?
