Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: If the C$ continues to gain some additional momemtum, how would that FX affect Boyd going forward. I note that the ROE is negative and their net profit margins are also low to negative, their PE pretty high but it has been a solid performer to date. Should the above factors be important if a person is thinking of buying into the company at this juncture. Would you suggest any other company you like better in this category. Thank you.

Q: Why is it that this stock looses 2,5% upon the release of an expected deal? Are there any changes that was missed by the market? What is your opinion of this stock moving forward to 2017?
For references, here is the press release:

Keep up the excellent work.

Q: I was looking for previous questions and answers on CCL Industries CCL and could only see two Q & A going back to January this year. I am sure I have read more previously??

CCL has gown to 6.7% of my portfolio, though it would have been less if oil had not taken such a hit. It's one of the few stocks that we own in RRIFs that does not seem to have pulled back and I am loathe to sell to balance the portfolio becbecause of its performanceause of its weighting.
In a case like this, is it appropriate to hold on, or should we trim and buy something like Winpak?

Q: I'm an owner in AW.UN, MTY and PZA for income. I have a tax refund and would like to reinvest a few thousand. Each of these are below 5% weighting so I can freely contribute to any one of these.

Which one would you choose?

Q: If you read the advice from the likes of Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffet you're buying a piece of a company, not a stock, and should feel confident in that company. I read your report on WSP Global, but nowhere in it is the basic question: Is this company any good at what it does? A report in the Ottawa Citizen today seems to show a startling lack of competence at WSP Global. http://ottawacitizen.com/news/local-news/reevely-failed-hazeldean-bridges-design-flawed-from-the-start-newly-released-report-says

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

In today's answer to Norman, you listed your favourite REITs: HR.UN, CSH.UN, CAR.UN, REF.UN, CRR.UN and INN.UN.

I'm curious why InterRent (IIP.UN) wasn't in the list. Is it perhaps because of the lower yield and its smaller size? It does appear to have good growth, though.

Thanks as always for the valuable advice.

Q: The charges are against Baazov & 5 others.Stock prices were up sharply prior to announcement of acquisition----How come?? Do you think that Baazov or Baazov & potential partners will make a bid of $21 now that its price is $15.45???.If found guilty, big fine &/or prison term..There is another suit too. Many problems. Many fund manager & investors are avoiding the stock. This is my humble opinion.

Q: A two part question. Nice reaction to earnings. Do you agree, and what if anything stands out to you? Secondly (Ok maybe thirdly), in reading the transcript of the conference call, the CEO Jonathan Ross Goodman alternates between taking a very serious tone and being something of a jokester. Is this his play book from the Paladin days? And is he really that confident in his role? Thank-you, as always.
