Q: When I look at the yield on TXF I see it's over 8%. Is that correct? I know you say it won't participate in the upside of a bull market due to the covered call aspect but what will the yield do in a bull market? What about in a flat or declining market? Thanks!

Q: hello...I puzzled why income stocks are rising, aka increasing stock price. For example, Bell is nearing an all time high, even in the face that interest rates increases are likely to slow or halt. And all of this is happening while balanced stocks are providing guidance of reduced margins as you highlighted in todays' market update.
Does the increase in prices for income stocks reflect a market change in sentiment to income portfolio type equity positions?
For an individual investor, are there for example indices or ETF that could be followed to monitor such changes in the stock market?
This is all triggered by the rise in Bell's stock price. I'm not overweight Bell but because of the rise in price, I'm wondering if is has topped and for this reason, should I trim and take profit?..........Thanks....Tom

Q: Has a dividend investor I hold shares of the above in in my registered and non registered accounts.
I have cash over and above my fixed income position. This extra cash is earmarked for a new position in a dividend stock paying a 4 to 7% div with growth prospects and at fare value and tax efficient. Might be a tall order , appreciate your help.

Q: Have a limited amount to spend and wondered how you view ATCO considering the Kitimat deal. I currently hold ZEF and have noticed that you like VEE. Would I be best off changing to VEE?

Q: My 14 month total return for this preferred share etf is - 7.53%. It should provide better downside protection than HAZ , so maybe having a ten year time horizon would be better, and just look at it as part of a diversified income portfolio. Would you step into HAZ at this time if you needed Dividend income?
