Q: Palo Alto has identified Zscaler as their competition and ripped the company somewhat on an earnings call. The CEO of Zscaler fired back on CNBC with comments such as the below. My question is whether this is a buy with potential based on your knowledge and comments below. It has gone from nearly $90 to $51 in a few months despite seemingly doing well.

"Zscaler, which came public in the first half of 2018, offers cloud security software for IT professionals to monitor network traffic and protect data. The company surprised analyst estimates by turning a small profit in four straight quarters.

Revenue grew by more than 53% in its July quarter and is expected to near $90 million in the current quarter, according to FactSet.

“The market is coming to us. We’re seeing a lot of growth,” Chaudhry said. “We crossed 400 off the Global 2,000 companies as our customers, so [we are] very bullish about the opportunity.”

Q: Hi team,
I know your focus is small/mid cap Canada and mine is mid/large cap U.S, so I try not to ask U.S. questions during peak Canadian earnings season, which has now passed.

On Friday afternoon, my tech watch list was fully green. Then PANW went red and redder. I knew something was up (or down). In a half hour, PANW was down almost $20. Finally Seeking Alpha had something on the wire. The Executive VP for worldwide sales at PANW is leaving at the end of September. No reasons given. In the past, when VPs of Finance leave companies abruptly, it may cast some doubt on the financials. I am not sure if a VP Sales departure is a likely sign of a revenue problem or not. I suspect the departure news may have leaked out before earnings on September 4 and PANW had to confirm it. If so, it may now be baked into the price.

What are your current thoughts on PANW and buying now?

Thanks again.

Q: hello 5i:
On your advice, I purchased OTEX back in 2015, and have done very well with it. thank you. I feel, however, that its overvalued at the moment and don't want to see the gains disappear. I'm thinking of selling OTEX and buying PANW. Could you comment and elaborate a bit on this potential move? I'll be staying in the Tech sector, so any other options you have would be of interest.. I'd like a US company, if possible (already own CSU and a small amount of PHO).
thanks

Q: Hi 5i,
For an RSP focused on growth, which two would you pick for cybersecurity exposure? Or would you pick something else (other than an ETF)?
TIA

Q: Hi Team, Recently, JP Morgan listed these 5 US companies as their top AI picks. Would these be 5iR's top five US AI picks? If yes, then can you rank order the picks for me. If not, what would your picks be and/or what would you add/subtract from the above 5. How would you rank order this revised list?
Thanks Team. Chris

Q: Company beat on earnings by .01, but revenue was down. The Market has really punished the stock this am, and I am questioning whether it is as bad as it really looks. As a shareholder should, I wait for a further quarter to assess.
Going forward, just wondering what your take is on the company, it is a buy, hold or sell at this point.
Thanks and look forward to your reply.
