Q: Are there any independent web sites devoted to monitoring and evaluating the ETF population? Looking for something that tracks free cash flow (FCF) stability and growth of distributions, frequency of asset or index modifications, as well as risk assessment (Morningstar?).
Q: Hello Peter, Should have sold DH Corp sooner but will take a loss and deploy the cash to these three companies also some to TIO networks. Do these choices sound suitable to you? Herb
I had a full position in Milestone and today it is being sold. What are your thoughts on BPY.UN for replacement or would you have other names in the multi family residential properties? I know that BPY.un is not in the muti family residential property.
Q: Could I get your thoughts on the Canadian SaaS space please. I currently hold SHOP & a small position in AT, are there any others that you could recommend or are currently on your watch list?
Thanks for your excellent service and guidance in 2016, I have no hesitations in renewing this year!
Q: I read your summary back in December on MSL. It was not flattering. As you expected the stock continues to languish. Are there other Companies in this space you would prefer and would you sell MSL (small holding) to buy it?
Q: I want to buy ENB for my TFSA but want to confirm there will not be any dividend with holding tax going on because of USA business. Can you please clarify, Thankyou JC
Q: Dear 5i Team,
Recently read that Alaris Royalty and Parkland Fuel were dropped from the S&P/TSX composite shareholder yield index. What does this index represent? The news release also mentioned the S&P/TSX composite buyback index - what is this index for? Thank you for you great service.
Regards,
Danny
Q: Shopify is flying even before your top pick recommendation yesterday as it was $55 a month ago and just hit $68. It's on a trajectory that may imply a financing is coming soon. What do you think and how would you compare it's potential to Kinaxis' at today's prices?
Thank you.
Q: I asked this question several hours ago but did not get a response.I don't know if you respond the same day...so I am asking again. I have a non-registered account and would like to buy an eTF that is Canadian in content, to reap possible tax benefits. Can you recommend one that holds many stocks. There are so many - it is really hard to pick the one that holds the most stocks representative of all sectors. Or do you feel an S&P/TSX EFT holding just 60 is the way to go? Thank you.
Q: I would like to add one infrastructure company to my portfolio (I have none) which one of the above specified companies do you prefer, or do you have another suggestion?
I like the WSP's dividend, but I like to see some growth as well. Which one of these companies will give me the highest total return? i.e dividend plus share appreciation.
Thanks in advance,
Jacob
Q: The only energy producer I currently hold is SU. I'm thinking of adding one more (non-oil sands) company and am considering WCP and CJ. I like CJ because of the larger dividend and the lower Debt/Book. I like WCP because it is a much larger company. I prefer companies with decent dividends and the ability to trade options. Which would you suggest or would you recommend a different company?
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I own this stock and am 20% under water, it continues going down but I could not find the reason. This stock looks cheap, the company have 17 m cash and no debt.
Pls give your thought on this company.
Should I continue to hold it?
Q: Good morning. Can you recommend a US ETF where I could 'park' some US cash for a month or or two? And safely make some interest or dividends? Thank you!
Q: Signed up tonight after watching BNN. I have reviewed your website and have a question in how to translate this into a successful strategy.
I've gone over your portfolio's and have decided Growth is the profile I will follow.
My TSFA is nearly maxed out and currently all CASH.
Your Dec 31st Growth Model Update shows approx 25 companies with different allocations. Half of these show an NR (Which I assume is New Rating - Initiation)
Would you advise investing primarily in the NR's as a place to start this portfolio and over the coming years sell and buy as suggested? Or would you advise in investing in only those stocks with a grade higher than B+?
Q: 11:36 AM 1/19/2017
I have a 5% position in Tucows that is now up 103%. It pays no dividend and I am shifting my portfolio towards dividend growth stocks and at some point should sell to "harvest" the gain and switch to a dividend stock.
Is this now the time to be selling this stock or does TC have strong growth and future gains ahead?
Thank you........ Paul K
Q: Hi, would like sell spe or tog and put it in Wcp for more stability. Is this a good move? Witch one would you let go?
I like dividends, but not at the expense of higher capital gains.
Thanks,Brad
Q: Hello 5i team,
My exposure to the tech sector is 17.7% of my portfolio
CSU 4.6%, DSG 2.9%, ENGH 2.7%, KXS 1.8%, MDA 1.3%, OTC 2.4%
I'm interested in SHOP and to a lesser extent SYZ.
How would you build the portfolio keeping the overall exposure at 17-18%?
Thanks,
Antoine
