Q: This stock keeps on falling everyday. First you had said $170 would be a good price to get in. It kept on falling then you said $165. Now we are at almost $160.
In your experience, what has to happen for this to turn around?
A news or an upgrade?
thanks
Q: Hi Team,
I'm considering selling CSU and TRI for capital loss. Do you see these two moving up significantly in the 30 day waiting period? Would you re-buy both after 30 days or move the funds elsewhere?
Thanks
Q: I have avoided NFLX because I have not seen much room for growth outside of price increases. Now I am seeing, first run movies, including documentaries produced by them. Also they seem to have a gaming division which is producing games as content for live, in person gaming experiences. I am in London as I walk by some sort of gaming place with a big Netflix sign in the window.
Can you add some granularity to the above in terms of new and developing income streams, how these are doing, what their potential is, the outlook and anything else that might drive growth moving forward. Thank-you again.
Q: I owned this company back when it had a share price in the $20 range>
Would love your thoughts and analysis today and does it have the potential lately to capitalize on the AI craze?
Thanx as always
Gary
Q: Thank you so much for your service. Like many others, I'm looking for a balance between stability and high-growth. CIGI has been strong over the past years but kinda flat over the past year. I'm thinking to sell my 1/4 position of CIGI and put it into some or all of: GRID, BLN, and VNP.
Knowing that you can't offer personal advice, what would your thoughts be? What order would you put the CIGI proceeds towards, and a comment why, please. Or would it be more prudent just to hang onto CIGI?
Thanks again.
Q: Further to my recent question about the 30 day stock repurchase rule -
May I repurchase a stock that I have sold with a capital gain in my margin account in less than 30 days? since I am not claiming a capital loss?
Q: I have asked lots of questions on GDXY and received answers that helped me assess the questions . So thanks for your great answers .....One additional question I have is on " dividend movement " .... I've researched this myself and haven't really noticed an effect from the security going ex-dividend with an associated drop in price . But this question is on " the honking big dividend effect " . I once asked Yieldmax investor relations a question. They ignored the question but put me on their mailing list . As a result I know how much the dividend is going to be the day before it goes ex- dividend..... I was notified today { the day before it goes ex-dividend } that the dividend will be 72.86% { annualized }.... As of 8:00 AM this morning the price of Gold is up $61.90 and the price of GDXY is up .30 or 1.70% .....
What I want to know is during previous extraordinarily large dividend payments { 70% or better } what was happening to the price of Gold ? The GDXY ETF price ? And if there was a reaction how long on average it took to settle to it's former price ? I would like to know what 5i's opinion on " why " the security moves or doesn't move on going ex-dividend into these large payments .....And how long it takes things to get back to normal ...... I'm trying to assess whether it is worthwhile going overweight couple of percent for a couple of days to collect the dividend and then sell and go back to my normal weighting ? Thanks for your terrific service ......
Q: You mentioned CSU year end tax selling as probable. Do you feel the same on TOI & LMN? How do you like these as a current discounted purchase? Especially if you were to leave as a 10 year hold.
Q: What is your current assessment on American intentions to effectively take over Canada by economic dismantling? It isn’t clear to what extent Canada will be able to withstand current tariff barriers and effectively ‘fight back’ for its own interests.
Q: Thank you for the invaluable service you provide and from which I heavily rely on. The following stocks are in my grandchildren's RESP account: ARX, CLS, CNQ, ENB, RY, SLF, TD, TOU, TVE, VHI and WSP.
I have cash to deploy and would appreciate five NEW stock ideas along with suggestions on which EXISTING stocks, if any, you would add to, both in descending order. (I just sold IFC and TRI, so am not interested in adding either of them)Thanks.
