Q: These 4 have been beaten badly , way more than the TSX drop. What do you think about their prospects to go bankrupt ? Can you rank them from the lowest to highest risk ?
which ones will have their cash affected more ?

Q: Hi- it seems everyone is walking around with alcohol these days. Groceries, toilet paper and booz. Any idea on how to play that? Does consumption at liquor stores make up for the lack of consumption at restaurants. There;s really nothing else to do but drink. Even my girlfriend has gone to the liquor store more often than usual last few weeks.
Can you give me your thoughts, and perhaps a few ways to play this? Thanks.

Q: As North American jurisdictions begin, finally, to transition to halfway-decent testing regimes, will investors begin to discount the economic cost of social distancing? Yes, the pandemic will continue to grow, and yes, there seems to be excessive optimism in the market's response to government interventions, but are we now past the point where events or results could cause investors to panic as they did last week? I've been trying not to buy into what smells like a bear market rally but now I wonder if the cost of recession has already been baked-in.

Q: Is buying PHYS a low risk proxy to owning physical gold since it actually holds the gold?
Is buying UUP a low risk proxy for buysing US$ or could there be unexpected volatility of the ETF ouside of dollar fluxuations?
Likewise for GBTC for Bitcoin?

It like to get a close to buying US$, Gold, and a bit of Bitcoin but without having to physically obtain - have I chosen approapriate vehicles for this or could I get blindsided?

Q: Methanex was $13.25 last Wednesday when I was contemplating averaging down my $55.00 price. Today it is $21.06. Who is buying? Someone for a possible buy out of the company? I cant help but think that with plants idling everywhere, when the virus is over (whenever that is) we will have super inflation the likes of what we have never seen. No supply and tons of demand. Am I right and who would be interested in Methanex, if anyone. Do you think it is too late now to average in?

During difficult market times we send you questions so that we dont feel alone when markets are crashing. It's the time we need some "emotional support" and the Q & A provides just that for me.

Thank you kindly to you both for helping me navigate during these turbulent times. I bought GSY and I held even though it dropped after that.My cost was still in the region of about $28. I was tempted to sell when it dropped further but found solace in your answers to the stock. I am glad that its today up over 25%.... I can't thank you guys enough for providing me with the confidence to hang on to my positions and to cease opportunities during crazy market swings.

Q: I understand that Brookfield Asset Management really thrives in this kind of environment. They are very good at funding companies or buying up shares/debt in distressed markets and they certainly have lots to choose from. An article in today's WSJ said Wall street money guys are getting lots of calls from companies needing cash.

Q: Looks like the markets are liking the financial aid packages approved in the last day or two but do you think that this bounce is warranted? Would you start deploying cash here in both the Canadian and US markets or wait for less volatility? What does your experience tell you? Thanks.
