Your last update was Oct 28th. Given their (over-subscribed) U.S. financing last night, and their recent solid share performance, do you still see this one as a hold, or would you buy into it? The cross-selling synergies from their 2014 acquisition seems to be what has made the difference for future growth, from what I read.

I have owned TCN for some time and the share price is still above my purchase price but the value keeps steadily eroding. RBC reports on it regularly including the Case-Schiller price index in each of the areas where it holds rental homes. These show appreciation of 13.4%, 4.3% and 5.7% in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Most recent results show a small decrease of -0.1%, month-over-month. They also hold homes in areas that are not covered by Case-Schiller including Houston which is affected by the decline in oil prices. About 12% of the rental homes are in Houston according to RBC I remember some reference to this on BNN but I haven't been able to find it. Do you think this may be behind the decline in the stock price and do you have any thoughts on the significance of this factor? Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i: This is really two questions, so please charge accordingly.
(1) I want to add a renewable energy company to my portfolio, and have been looking at BEP.UN, INE and Boralex. BEP is much larger than the others and more geographically diversified, but RBC Direct gives its P/E as 126.9. This may be because of low earnings, of course, the other two seem to have negative earnings currently. I'm interested in total returns and stability. Of these three, which would you recommend? Or do you have a better suggestion?
(2) I also want to add another (more traditional) power company and would appreciate your opinion on the pros and cons of ALA versus Emera.

Q: Good time to sell at market prices in the $35 range given all the shares tendered won't necessarily be purchased at $36? Take money off the table as in the short run, this name may not do very much. Might be an opportunity to buy back lower into the name down the road. Or the price may be supported by the earnings growth of the additional leverage the company is taking buying back its under valued shares. Wondering your thoughts.

Q: I am thinking of switching my holdings in Canadian Tire and buying Loblaws with the proceeds. Just seems to me that the retail space is inherently more risky than food and drugs and I think the Shoppers Drug/Loblaws tie in has a lot of synergy potential. CTC has been a strong performer for years so it comes done to valuations and growth potential. How do the two compare on valuation metrics and would you favour one over the other, assuming long term holds for each and total growth (dividends and gains) the ultimate goal.

Q: I believe you mentioned before that you think the market has punished Enghouse too much.

Question: what valuation would you think appropriate for Enghouse considering its net cash position of $3.67 per share (if my shares outstanding total are correct), growing earnings per share profile and growing divided?

I understand the company has a lot of positives going for it, but I have a hard time getting around ESL's valuation. 31x 2016 earnings, even when you deduct the cash from the share price, seems like a lot to me.

I'm really interested in hearing why you think the market bringing down ESL to 31x 2016 earnings is punishing it too much.

To get to the winner, I want to ask you to kindly identify one stock in each group first and then rank those five from 1 (most regretful) to 5 (least regretful). I know you don’t have any info about my portfolio, risk tolerance, and investment objectives, the final stocks vary widely from each other, and this is perhaps the most unusual request…but I appreciate it if you play this game…I also want to see if the winner of my list is the same as what you have in mind…and if not then tell us what you would have bought from the list of Canadian stocks so you would not regret 5 years from now. Q: CIBC came out a few days ago and they downgraded CAS to $8.I see that Cascades also owns 20% of Boralex which is going higher everyday which makes the stock very cheap. Do you think the CIBC report is justified with a $8 target. The market always hits the stock when such reports come out. What would you think of CAS and should one hold or sell considering the negative backdrop.

Q: Parkland Fuel reported tonight. Could you give us your opinion of the results including the adjusted dividend.
